Description
WoottonHeath Oreo. The cuddliest, sanest, easiest pony I've had for years. Started slowly last year with natural horsemanship methods. Then when he was fully ready for novice riders, he went on loan to live in Shaftesbury to be hacked around the town and up the hills for the winter. Now back, he has done several long distance camp-out rides on Exmoor, and plenty of hacking in the NF, + schooling in the field. He has lovely balanced paces and a natural head carriage. He's happy to go in front of behind hacking - and is just starting to hack on his own. Schooling - he will slow on a "Whoah" command, nearly doing walk-canter, canter-walk is pretty good too. We don't do SJ or practice much but he'll pop a few 50cm ish fences in the field nicely (also carrying a flag or umbrella if neccessary). He has good ground work skills, plus some nice lateral work coming at a walk including, turn on forehand, turn on HQ, shoulder in, a very nice backup. Tricks: 'Kerbside; pickup: Click your fingers over his back and he'll come over to pick you up - you can get on off a digger, tractor, gate, bank, mounting block - whatever. Flag riding: walk, trot, canter with a massive flag waving. Drag riding: drag a sled or bag and he'll tow it along. He happily jumps v steadily over logs in the forest, bush bashes through bracken, crosses streams/rivers. Great to do gates. He loves to be caught! V easy to tie up, wash, trim, shoe, worm. Excellent to load and travel. V reliable in heavy traffic - he lives on a large farm with tractors/diggers/quads. It is also a pheasant shoot so they're no bother either. We also ride with the dog everywhere so that's cool too. Ride and lead is 10/10. Vet info: Fully up to date with vaccs. Given all clear in Feb for flexion and 2 stage vetting style lameness check up. Now he is a bit fat and our fields are very flat, he very occassionaly has a slightly sticking stifle - like a micro hestitation. His brother also has it and it is a mechanical issue related to unfitness. It seems to cause him no stress. When fitter it reduces/goes. As an example, he will do it circa 3 x in a 5km hack. He seems to do it worst going down a slight incline when we ride with loose reins, if we hold him together it's preventable. IMPORTANT Our area of the NF does have flu nearby. I am expecting him to just be of interest locally for that reason and therefore not in a hurry to sell him. £8k ono. I would possibly loan him to the right home for a short time. The 'right home' means an experienced, confident rider who can handle a young pony. Please do not ask to loan him if you have a nervous, or novice child and do not know about horses.I will prioritise buyers who know the basics, or want to learn NH methods because this is his normal. If he doesn't sell (quite expecting this with the stifle and the flu !) he will do Pony Club this summer, start drag hunting this winter and remain for sale to the right home.
Hatchettmill Dogger Bank; PEANUT 13.2hh 6-Year-Old Fully Registered New Forest Gelding with a Green Passport£3,500Peanut is a lovely 13'2hh, 6-year-old, fully registered New Forest gelding with a green passport. He is a genuine, kind pony with a wonderful temperament and is now looking for a home where he can continue his education. He was lightly backed and ridden away last year and then was sent to a jockey for the finishing touches before being turned away for the winter. A couple of months ago he was restarted, but due to my work commitments, he has unfortunately been turned away again and is now being offered for sale from the field.Peanut is easy to handle, loves people, and has a huge personality. He is a pleasure to have around. He has run the forest as a 2 year old and has seen Cows, sheep, pigs and farm machinery He has also ran with geldings, mares and foals He loves water and is often found chilling in our river He once made friends with one of our friends cows, which sums up his friendly nature perfectly. He has lived out all year without a rug, with access to shelter, and has been stabled when required. He is good for the farrier, and is an easy doer who happily lives off fresh air, only receiving a small token feed while the others eat.Peanut had previously sustained a cut to one of his foot that has left a faint scar. This has never affected his soundness, and he made a full recovery with no ongoing issues. This is an incredibly sad sale. I have had Peanut since he was just 9 months old, and this decision has not been made lightly. He deserves someone who has the time to continue his education and give him the job he deserves. I truly believe he will make a fantastic all-round pony thanks to his intelligence, and love of people.£3,500Please get in touch for more information or to arrange a viewing. Sold from fieldCan provide videos of peanut upon request.
Finding Harley the right home is incredibly important to us. He has been part of our family since he was a yearling, so this is a heartbreaking decision. He will only be sold to the very best of homes.Harley is a genuine, kind and honest all-round pony who has helped my daughter grow from a young rider into the confident rider she is today. The only reason he is looking for a new home is because she has now moved on to a bigger horse.Harley has three lovely paces and enjoys a varied life. He hacks confidently alone and in company, schools well, has attended clinics and fun rides, and is always willing to have a go. He is a safe, forward-thinking ride with good brakes and is never silly or strong. He is not a kick-along or first-ridden pony. Harley enjoys his job and goes nicely from the leg, so he is best suited to a confident child or small adult who wants a responsive, enjoyable pony to continue progressing with. One of Harley’s biggest achievements was completing a successful year on loan at a riding school, where he proved himself to be kind, reliable and much loved by riders of varying abilities. He has impeccable manners on the ground and loves attention. He is good to catch, groom, clip, load and travel, and is up to date with vaccinations, teeth and routine healthcare.Harley has been successfully managed barefoot for several years and is trimmed regularly. He happily wears hoof boots when hacking on particularly stony ground. He is hammer shy, so he is not suitable for shoeing, but this has never affected his ridden career.Harley would suit someone looking for a genuine all-round pony to enjoy hacking, schooling, clinics and fun rides while building a lasting partnership. He is a much-loved member of our family, has never been passed from home to home, and finding the right match is far more important than a quick sale.£6,250 ONO. Serious enquiries only, please.

It is with no rush and only because my daughter is outgrowing him that we are considering finding our much-loved pony his perfect new home.He is a 21-year-old, 12.2hh British Riding Pony gelding who has been an absolute dream for us. He has done a little Pony Club, but the majority of his time has been spent hacking, which is where he is happiest. He hacks alone or in company, happily leads alongside my horse, and has cantered sensibly in large groups. That said, he has also taught my daughter a few lessons along the way! His favourite trick is putting his head down when there's particularly nice grass, which was easily solved with grass reins. He has just enough character to teach a child the odd riding lesson while always remaining kind, safe and genuine. He truly is the sort of pony every parent hopes to find. He is a perfect lead rein pony who is also ideal for a child to progress onto as their first ridden. He is incredibly patient, kind and forgiving, and nothing seems to faze him.He is definitely more woah than go and is much happier plodding along than rushing about. I can happily sit back at Pony Club and watch without a single worry because, if anything, most of the time he would rather not move! He gives children confidence rather than excitement and looks after his little riders every step of the way.Babies have poked fingers up his nose, children have climbed all over him, stood on his back and jumped off, and he simply takes it all in his stride. My daughter does all of his day-to-day handling herself, and even my novice son, who isn't horsey at all, can catch, groom and lead him because he is so gentle and easy to manage. He lives out on a large hill with a herd of geldings and settles brilliantly in a herd environment. He is an easy keeper with a laid-back nature and is happy to turn out with mares or geldings. He currently wears front shoes purely because our hacking routes and fields are very stony, but he was happily barefoot before. He has always been treated exactly the same as my sports horse and has never been "just the child's pony." He has received the very best of care throughout his life, including routine physio and chiropractic treatments as part of his regular maintenance. He has also had dental work to ensure his teeth are now in excellent condition, and I am happy to discuss this with genuine buyers and provide the veterinary report for complete transparency. We feel he deserves a home where he can enjoy life at a slightly slower pace. He has given my daughter so much confidence, but she is now ready for more than he enjoys doing. We would love to see him teaching another little rider the ropes, with plenty of grass, fuss and family life. He isn't the pony for a child wanting to bomb around fields or jump big tracks every weekend. Instead, he deserves a family looking for a safe, sensible and confidence-giving pony who will happily carry a little one on the lead rein before becoming their trusted first ridden partner. He comes with his full wardrobe of tack and rugs, so he is ready to go and start his next adventure with his new little rider. This is a heartbreaking decision, so finding the right home is far more important than a quick sale. Homes will be chosen very carefully for this very special little pony. £3500 ono
Poppy is looking for her best friend 🥰She is a 14/14.1 new forest x hackney who I have owned from 6 months old but sadly she hasn't made the height for me to continue with her and I don't have a consistent rider to take her forward. She turned 6 in April and has been sensibly started allowing her to have all the time she needed to mature (and grow!)Backed at 4 , hacked for the summer and autumn at 5 and now ready for someone to put their own stamp on her and enjoy her. She is currently being hacked 4/5 times a week and enjoying her riding time. She loves her person and develops a close bond. Easy to catch, farrier (barefoot) , tack up, mount, hose. She's hacked alone and in company (a little wary alone when getting to know you but happy to be told what to do!) and is very brave with unusual sights. She has seen and ridden past cows and been out to a show in a busy environment. She is still a young horse though so would like an experienced rider to show her the ropes in her new home. She has never shown any bad behaviour under saddle, no bucking, rearing, bolting etc. She isn't the finished article and should be considered as a nicely started project ready to see the world! She lunges off of voice commands and is a lovely little horse. Poppy appears to enjoy jumping and takes herself off over little fences in the field, she has never attempted to jump out of her field and is very respectful of her fencing 🩷I have many photos and videos of her which I can send via Whatsapp Poppy is based in Jersey and there is regular transport for horses to the mainland. Double check if you need to pay VAT on import.Very sad sale but if she stays with me she will just be a field ornament which would be a shame as she thrives on her human time 🩷 6k 🥕 she has a full wardrobe that can come with her, fitted saddle at extra cost but good price! Please Whatsapp in first instance
Mellow is very sadly for sale as her jockey is ready to move onto a horse. She has an amazing jump and is schooling in a nice outline, although we haven't done dressage with her. She jumps over a 1m at home easily and competed at 80cm show jumping (although could easily compete higher). She is easy to catch, load, shoe, clip, vet, teeth etc and she will hack alone or in company. She can give a buck and can still be a little green at times and needs a good rider to give her confidence and as is therefore not a novice ride. With the right rider she could excel, particularly in show jumping. £9000
13.2hh 12yr old Black Cob Gelding3 good paces and works sweetly on the flat, genuine and straightforward to a fence and happily pops around courses up to 70cm. Has attended numerous rallies, beach and fun rides. Qualified for Eland Lodge Arena Eventing & Show Jumping Championship and Trailblazers Show jumping Championships with previous home. Competed in Dressage, SJ, Arena XC and HT competitions and has seen hounds proving to behave impeccably. Hacks alone or in company, great in open spaces and traffic. Good to shoe, box, clip, catch etc. He has the sweetest temperament and is generally a super fun pony to have around. He is now looking for a new jockey through no fault of his own. Would suit a small adult/teenager looking for a fun allrounder. https://youtu.be/rhgDvwMx2ws?is=vcaS-8nMGMuZx2eehttps://youtu.be/uUDfOAQ3Gts?is=7JCiwu7-e0Wf5J-P£6250 Ono

CHOCOLATE Incredibly safe and sensible driving pony standing around 12.2hh. Such a chunky and level headed pony, weight carrying type. Stands like a rock in all situations with the youngest of children. 6 years old with a lot of experience under its belt in a cart, he’s the pony that you can allow the kids to mess around on solo. Perfect for beginners and really looks after you, short, steady and consistent pace. Unphased by anyone or anything, been driven in the heaviest of traffic regularly. Will stand at the pub for hours no fuss. Amazing with children. Under 2’s regularly jump on him bare back. He’s a pony very hard to find and a really heart breaking decision to sell, sadly he’s just being wasted with me and I’m giving up horses all together. He is a stallion but goes out with mares, geldings and colts, he hasn’t needed to be gelded due to literally having no drive or idea what to do even with mares in season it’s quite unbelievable! Previous home wanted to use him to breed from and tried many times with multiple mares, he’s just not interested. Very cheap to keep and wants for nothing, a real gentleman. £2750

Synod Rose Quartz8 year old mare approximately 13hhRosie is the most loving and cuddly mare. She hacks like a an absolute saint for adults and kids and is often used to babysit the nervous ones. She hacks alone and in company, first or last and never heats up. She is currently enjoying her schooling if only done a couple of times a week and loves to jump.Rosie did have a ligament injury back in 2024 but has had no issues since being rehabbed so there is no reason for this to cause an issue in to future as long as her work is kept varied. She is not a traditional kids pony as she can be stubborn in the school, just not going forward for the little ones but my daughter hacks her no problem and does everything on the ground with her with no problem. She is up to date with everything and easy to do in all ways, loads herself.I am 5”6 and she comfortably takes up my leg well. Her price will reflect her previous injury so she is an absolute bargain with her temperament and breeding. Only for sale as I have 2 of my own and my daughter has moved up to a bigger pony of her own too. Based in Hampshire
Having spent many years teaching children to ride, she is now ready to slow down and enjoy what she loves most – hacking around the forest. She is a sensible, confidence-giving ride who is very much “whoa” rather than “go”.She hacks alone (can be a little nappy to start but the more she goes out by herself this improves) or in company and has also been used by the RDA, where she has been absolutely fantastic in her role.Like many ponies, she will occasionally throw in a cheeky little buck when she’s feeling excited, but it is never malicious or nasty. These are very rare and are only when on the ‘open forest’.She is good to shoe, clip, load and lives of fresh air! Happy in or out.She would be best suited to someone looking to enjoy forest rides / fun rides, rather than intensive schooling or competition. She has done her job teaching children and deserves a loving home where she can enjoy life at a more relaxed pace. This is a very difficult sale, she is very much part of the family but personal circumstances and lack of time means she needs to go on and find her next home.£3500Please call (after 4.30pm) or WhatsApp/Message 07712610628
Oscar is a beautifully bred, quality young New Forest gelding with an exceptional temperament and a very exciting future ahead of him.Produced slowly and correctly, he has already enjoyed great success in the show ring, winning both Novice classes before taking Overall Ring Champion at his most recent show. He has also been successful in-hand and has always behaved impeccably at shows.Despite his age, Oscar has an old head on young shoulders. He is kind, genuine and enjoys work, making him a pleasure to have around. My 4 year old son has plodded around on him. He is easy to catch, groom, tack up, load, travel and stands sensibly. He is happy living in or out and is straightforward to handle in everyway. Very good doer and has wintered out rugged with me.Oscar hacks confidently in company and hacks alone well just a little green. He is good in traffic, and has recently started jumping small fences both at home and away from home. He is proving to be brave and willing, taking everything in his stride. He schools nicely in all three paces and has established the basics well, but he is still a young pony and remains green, so would benefit from someone continuing his education. This is reflected in his price and gives his new owner the exciting opportunity to put their own stamp on a quality pony with all the foundations already in place. He would make a fantastic WH pony, Pony Club pony, family all-rounder, showing pony, Riding Club pony or someone looking for a quality young pony to continue producing. His outstanding attitude and trainable nature are undoubtedly his greatest assets.Only available as I enjoy producing young ponies.Countless photos and videos available including ridden work, hacking, jumping and showing. Up to date with vaccinations, teeth, wormer and farrier. And well behaved with all.£4995 onoKnowledgeable home only for this much-loved young pony. It is with a heavy heart, I am looking for a new home for my boy Jeremy. He has literally just turned 3 years old standing at 14.1 HH , he is expected to finish around 14.3 HH . He is a gelding , he is a cheeky boy with lots of character, he is up to date with vaccinations, farrier , teeth , and ready now to pursue his ridden career . He has been lunged , long reined and sat on , and has been a complete gentleman throughout, and really enjoys his work . He has good breeding and fantastic movement. We have his mum , dad and sister and brother on the yard , so you can see just how well he will turn out . I want the absolute best home for this boy , where someone has the time and resources to bring him on to the best of his ability. Disclosure , he does have a cyst on his left shoulder, been checked by vet and could easily be removed/cut out . But causes him no issues. Based Durley Hampshire. He is priced at £3000 and I have his tack / rugs by separate negotiations.
We are looking for a 5* home for our beautiful girl. She's been my daughter's pony and best mate for two years now and I've also been riding her occasionally (I'm 5ft2) so she can carry the weight too.A perfect best friend for a pony mad child who's ready for their 2nd pony. She LOVES an adventure, show jumping, hacking, the beach and cross country. She's also doing some lead reign for another child who is a complete novice. Schooling isn't her favourite but she'll do whatever is asked of her. She's been doing pony club rallies and camp and looks after her rider at every turn. Snaffled mouthed. She's good to box, shoe, clip, catch and everything in between a very easy pony. She's shown no mare-ish behaviour at all with us. She can find being shut in the stable a little stressful so I currently bring her into the yard with the stable open for her over night and then back out to the field in the day. She'll need similar or live out option. This is not a desperate sale so the right home is very important. We want her to go on to the best home who will love her and continue to have tonnes of fun with her.Vetting welcome. More pictures and videos are available.£6,500

💙 Wotknotts Alan – Registered Blue Dun Miniature Shetland Gelding 💙Very tentatively looking for a special new home for Alan due to a slight change of direction and simply not having the time to give him the opportunities he deserves.Alan is a beautiful 4-year-old registered blue dun Miniature Shetland gelding. He was gelded earlier this year and has settled well into life as a gelding. He has a fantastic showing record and absolutely loves being out in the ring. He has plenty of presence, is a real head-turner and would be a lovely pony for someone wanting to continue showing, have fun, or put their own stamp on him in a new adventure. He is: ✨ Up to date with vaccinations (now on a 6-monthly)✨ Regularly seen by the farrier✨ Worming up to date✨ Seen by the physio earlier this year✨ Well handledAlan can have typical cheeky Shetland moments, so I’d like a knowledgeable home that understands the breed, but underneath it all he really is the sweetest little character. This is not an easy decision. He deserves to be out doing what he enjoys and being someone’s little superstar rather than being wasted in the field.⭐ The right home is far more important than a quick sale.No time wasters please, this is already a hard enough decision.💷 £1300 ono

Silver - 14hh, part bred Connie gelding (no breeding recorded).Beautiful quality pony with nice paces. Backed and ridden away over the winter and then had a little winter break to mature. Back in work from spring and riding well. Silver hacks alone and in company and is good in open spaces. Happily works away in the field without a fuss. Boxes up for a hack and loves to go out and about exploring. Schooling in all 3 paces and just learning to work into a contact, he picks things up quickly and tries really hard to understand what’s being asked of him. Popping a few fences and showing to have a neat little jump, XC schooled and loved it! Stringing some together and really enjoying it. He’s still at a stage where he needs a nice rider with a bit of feel. I’d love to see him in an experienced home learning his next job. He could go on to do a variety of things. He’d make a lovely little plaited working hunter pony/dressage/eventing etc. He’s been well started and not hammered.Takes the leg well, rider in pics 5’4. Good to catch/load/farrier/clip/bath. Turns out on his own or with others. We’ve borrowed him as a companion to various ones this summer and he turns out with anyone! Sweet little chap with a lovely character. Passed 5 stage vetting before import. £5750 07581238106 - please WhatsApp message for videos. If you call and I don’t answer please send a text - NOT voicemail (they don’t work on my phone!) and I’ll get back to you.Located Farnham Surrey.
