🦄 Embarr 🦄

Our 14.2, 11 year old Irish cob type mare is sadly available for sale through no fault of her own.
We have owned her for the last 2 years, having bought her from a wonderful dealer in York, before that she was over in Ireland.
Sale price includes all tack and wardrobe.

Wormed, vaccinated, teeth etc up to date.

Embarr would make a great mother daughter share, second pony for a confident/competent teen or general happy hacker.

She is amazing to load and catch and has been absolutely fine with the farrier, vet and dentist - not keen on clippers but has been fine with sedation to have a full hunters clip. (Note we have never tried to desensitise Embarr due to lack of time)

Mainly lives out but is happy in a stable when the weathers been very wet/very sunny/we’ve needed to keep her clean (got to love a grey).
She is currently living out with a Welsh/Shetland cross gelding but has lived in a mixed herd whilst we’ve owned her.

Will happily go first or last, can hack alone or in company, has spent time on the lead rein with smaller riders and is great to lead from also (which she has done out on Barrossa, with hounds and at the beach).

Embarr has been wonderfully schooled prior to her coming to us and walks, trots and canters in the school and will hold a beautiful outline when asked.

She was used as a child’s riding school pony for the first 8 months of us owning her before a DIY livery space became available at the same yard. Since then she has mainly been ridden by our sharers children and adult friends.

Can jump up to 70cm, she has never really been pushed further due to age/experience of riders.
She has been over to Wheatlands before my wife became pregnant and was totally sane and sensible with the water and small jumps (wifey isn’t a jumper she wouldn’t do the bigger ones).

Additionally with our daughter and sharer she has been out to local low level events with no issues. (Exception of sack racing/hopping - this she has spooked at).

Reason for sale - Unfortunately due to my wife’s health, a new baby and our 7 year old having zero interest in any pony for almost a year now she is being wasted.

Price - £4000 inc tack & wardrobe. Home much more important!

Please feel free to contact me for more details/videos

Description

Buddy is a 13.2 liver chestnut New Forest gelding. Very sad and reluctant sale of our lovely pony as daughter has sadly outgrown after 2 wonderful years. Active members of OBH South Pony Club attending camp summer of 2017 and looking forward to camp of 2018.

Buddy is a very careful and tidy jumper, forward going but not silly. He jumps up to 90cm but is most comfortable competing at 80-85cm. He has three lovely paces and works consistently in an outline in each. He competes most weekends with pony club or other unaffiliated showjumping, dressage, cross country and one day events.

Buddy is great to hack, happy to go first or last, and not spooky at all. Excellent to catch, shoe, clip and load in our trailer. Stabled at night all year round and likes company in the field during the day.

Buddy is not a novice ride as he can be strong and also takes his confidence from his rider, therefore, requires a capable and confident jockey. He can also throw a cheeky buck when excited or stroppy but has never been anything major and never been a concern to my previously nervous daughter.

Buddy has no health issues, however, he has very mild sweet itch (never actually been diagnosed as such though from our vet). This has never been problematic in the 2 years we have owned him and he has a full mane and tail. The main area he appears to itch is just his mane but the skin has never been broken and in the summer months he wears a fly rug.

10* knowledgeable home only for our lovely boy, preferably a Pony Club or competition home as too good to be a happy hacker. All tack, rugs, etc included including a 1 year old Kent and Master GP saddle. All homes will be vetted.

Buddy will be available from the end of August due to Pony Club camp and competing at Hickstead with Pony Club in August. Lots more photos and videos available on request.

We are only selling as circumstances have changed and need to find 5* homes. Pepper is a lovely sweet mare who has 3 lovely paceses and really enjoys her flat work
she can jump a course but needs more schooling on the striding. Pepper has done XC with previous owners. She has done pony club rallies and is happy to stand and wait turn as others go round. Pepper hacks out alone but in new situations needs to be given confidence. Peppers one wobble would be being left in her stable alone so needs to go somewhere with other horses, but can be left in field by herself. Will come with some rugs but tack to be Sold separately.

Description

Due to change in circumstances, 14.2 eight year old Connemara mare for sale. I have owned this gorgeous mare for over a year and has been a brood mare and a happy hacker in Ireland. Easy to do in all ways, lives out in a mixed herd or can live out on her own. Not Marish at all, very calm and loving temperament towards the other horses. Has competed in some low key dressage events, clear round jumping and regularly takes part in group lessons with me and behaves impeccably. Good in traffic, hacking out on the new forest in company and alone. This mare has been produced slowly and not hammered. Has been at local level and county level and always in the top placing, with some positive feedback from the judges. Brilliant to travel as well as I take her out on my own. Three lovely balanced paces, light in the contact and responsive with aids. Very low maintainence, a good doer with good feet, currently barefoot but can be shod if required. Sad sale of such an honest mare who to good to be left as a field ornament. Any questions please get in touch. £3000 to include some rugs.

Description

"Roxy" is a very pretty, bay mare from the Corstan Stud.

Sire: Parc Carlo 26078 (GBR)
Dame: 85811 Sackville Rosaling (GBR)

Born: June 2008

I brought her for my eight year old son and I to share. However, she is just too big for him and I do not have enough time to bring her on. I have decided, rather reluctantly, to sell her and find a smaller pony to increase my son's confidence, otherwise a mother/son will never be justified!

I have really enjoyed riding her though and working on her schooling. She's been great fun to jump and has plenty of scope that I haven't explored yet. We have had lots of lovely hacks out alone and in company, through woods, open fields and along roads.

My son has ridden her in some lessons and Pony Club rallies, jumping on the lead rein in the arena and cross country. We've taken her to a showjumping competition with him on the lead rein and she was very relaxed throughout. She hasn't rocked his confidence by her behaviour; it is more that he doesn't have enough leg yet to keep her moving forward.

She would be great in a showing home due to her breeding and looks. I think an experienced rider could bring her on more and continue her education to fulfil her potential.

Easy with the farrier, she currently has two front shoes on. Lives out all year. Loads.

Please email or text is easiest as I have my hand full with children most of the time!

Sir Clive is a 14'2hh 8 year old cob type skewbald. He is a cheeky chap who loves a cuddle and attention due to unforeseen circumstances I'm having to sell my gorgeous boy due to no fault of his own. He is brilliant to hack out alone or in company. Clive is sometimes cheeky in the school and does need encouragement but I believe with time and effort he could make a fantastic dressage pony who will catch everyone's attention. He struggles sometimes with his canter and will occasionally "buck" once when you push him forward I think it's him finding his legs as he is still learning. With the right owner and enough time to put into him he will be the perfect pony for someone I have to doubts. We are based in Ringwood, Hampshire - he's out on grass 24/7 at moment.
He is priced at £2000 ono he is worth a lot more than this but due to situation changing I don't want him being left to ruin in his field.
If you are interested or would like some more information please email myself any potential owners will be vetted as I want a 5* home for him only as have been reluctant to give him up.

Rolling Stone Buster (Buster)
Welsh section A 9 year old bay gelding by Pontblyddyn Meredith
Stunning looks and classy mover with a super temperament. Shown in hand last season by an 11 year old child. Loves being handled and fussed over.
Happy to live out if appropriate shelter is available but would happily come and snuggle on your sofa if he could. He needs a loving home with calm and confident handler. He is barefoot and good for farrier no vices, up to date vaccinations and dentist .

This stunning little chap wins everyones heart. He was in the riding school but due to no fault of his own he has become too unreliable to be ridden and is therefore sold as an in-hand show pony or companion pony only.

Clayhill Chaffinch (Finn)
Fabulous 13.2hh, 11 years young, New Forest Gelding. Handsome flashy Bay gelding by Pondhead Pan-Shine.
This honest capable chap hasn’t got a bad bone in his body, currently ridden by a 12 year old who is growing too big for him, so is now looking for a new home. Suited to a competent rider with sensitive hands.
He loves his jumping and can get quite quick. He has lots of potential, having been placed 1st in his last three times out at 75cms and taken 1st whilst shown earlier this year.
Great to hack alone or in company. Currently living out and thriving, he is barefoot, good for farrier, box, travel and handle. Happy to stand on the yard and be pulled about and groomed by lots of children at once. He has been used for Pony Parties where he is plaited up and coloured with horse paints.

Description

Thank you for all the lovely enquiries about Pat - Pat has now found his perfect new home.

Patrick (Coral Sandyville) is a 9 year old gelding by Coral King out of a Grange Sand Sparrow mare.
I bought Patrick two years ago for my daughter but she gave up riding shortly afterwards. Since then Patrick has loved going out for hacks on the forest with various riders but lack of a regular rider forces this sale as he is simply wasted with us. He loves to jump but we haven’t done a huge amount with him.
Patrick is an excellent doer. He is very low-maintenance and never sick or sorry. Patrick has a fantastic temperament: he is easy to catch & load, 100% in all traffic (including buses, lorries and tractors) and is great with the farrier and dentist. He hacks out alone or with others.
Patrick is a solid chunky boy and, although he’s 14hh, he does ‘ride bigger’.
He isn't a naturally very forward going pony, but doesn't like being left behind either! He's a lovely relaxing ride. He has been ridden by my competent 11 year old niece and and has occasionally been a little strong on the open forest, so he does need a competent rider.
Patrick would be perfect for a hacking home or if someone would like to further his education. Most of all he just needs someone to give him the love and attention he deserves.
This is a very sad sale of a much loved pony – so no time wasters please.
We are looking for OIRO £3000 to include all tack – but finding the right home for Patrick is priority.
Please call Liz on 01590626656 or 07545399684 for a chat if you’d like to find out more.

Meet Mr Gorgeous ( name is Cheyene, or Shy for short but Im calling him Sky) he is 6 and is a very easy chap who has now done a bit of everything. Would suit a happy hacker plus, now schooling well and popping little jumps but clearly could dress him up or down, his jump will improve as will all his work but at them moment he is going out alone and in company, schooling on the flat well and generally giving us all a lot of fun. Would be ideal for someone who wants that special bond as he is very affectionate and enjoys human company as much as fellow equines. I would like £3000 for this delightful chap.

Description

SERIOUS ENQUIRIES ONLY PLEASE.
RARE OPPORTUNITY TO BUY A SUPERB HAYWARDS FILLY BY ELTON.

Haywards One Wish

Born May 2014

NFM56/089

Sire: Long Copse Elton (Elite New Forest Stallion and recently received a Gold Award for how well his progeny have done in all disciplines)
Dam: Wraggle Taggle Gypsy

Currently standing unshod at 142cm (14hh)

(Please don’t let her colour and gender put you off – she does not fit the stereotype and is not mareish!!)

This 4yo mare really is going to be something rather special. She has everything – fantastic temperament, floaty ground covering movement, flashy looks, excellent bloodlines, a clean bill of health and a fabulous attitude to life. 14hh at present so with further development/muscling up and a set of shoes she'll end up over 14hh.

Exciting dressage prospect because of her soft light way of going, sensible nature and fabulous movement. She’ll catch the judges eye as soon as she walks into the arena. Also bold and brave enough to event or be a top-notch allrounder.

I bought Cedar direct from the breeder as a weanling and have had her ever since. She has always been an absolute angel and is a joy to handle in all ways. No vices whatsoever and has never done anything nasty or silly. She was shown as a yearling to let her see some of the world. Came home with some red rosettes! Loaded/travelled brilliantly and behaved exquisitely in the ring.

She has been very easy to train so far and has been lunged in pessoa, long reined and lightly backed and is now ready to be taken further. I don't have the time or the help at hand. I’ve done it all on my own so far – that is how easy she is. Has also been for walks out on the Forest in hand since she was a baby. Cedar is as straight forward as they come.

She has always had her feet trimmed regularly, is up to date with worming and vacs and had her teeth done by Tony Rose last autumn before being bitted. He did her by hand and also used power tools and needed no sedation – she was amazing.

I will not sell Cedar to a novice/nervous person. She has so much potential and I want her to continue her education in an experienced knowledgeable home.

Genuine reason for sale. I will be very upset to see her go though and would very much like to keep in contact.

£1200 and worth every penny so please no silly offers.
Photos taken back when she still had some winter coat. She’s all lovely and shiny now in her summer outfit!
