We are looking for a sharer for our very adaptable young pony . He is a NFX 13:2 approximately, 7year old and he really is underused and can be a lead rein, first or second pony or for a lightweight adult. Ideally I would like him to be ridden by a lightweight adult to continue his education and only ask for some help with stable and field duties . If anyone living in Whiteparish or close by is interested, please email me and I will get back to you with more details.
14hh New Forest Gelding – Part Loan or Potential Full Loan Based near Hambledon, HampshireDue to university and time commitments, I'm looking for a part loaner/sharer for my 8-year-old 14hh New Forest gelding. I would also consider a full loan, initially to stay at his current yard with the option to move him later once agreed. He’s lives out 24/7 (unless awful weather), with minimal chores to do. He's been mostly a happy hacker and although green for his age, he’s generally sane, sensible, and straightforward. He’s more confident when hacking in company but has the potential to build confidence alone with the right rider. No school or facilities, but fantastic hacking straight from the yard. He’d suit someone who just wants to hack, or who wants to do a bit more and bring him on – especially if you have your own transport. He comfortably carries an adult and could suit a confident teenager (with parental support) or mother/daughter share. He needs someone kind, honest, and experienced, who is confident and capable of continuing his education.Financial contribution to be discussed.Own rider’s insurance is required. Please, no time wasters. If you're interested or would like to come meet him, feel free to message me!
Experienced Sharer Wanted for Fun, Forward Going All Rounder.I’m looking for a confident and capable sharer for my 15.1hh 16 year old New Forest x Thoroughbred mare, due to changes in my work schedule I’ve not been able to ride as often this year. D is full of character and energy (although not mareish) and absolutely loves her work! She hacks alone or in company with direct access to the New Forest, there’s a school with show jumps available to hire five minutes up the road. There are also a few pubs within hacking distance for those who enjoy a social ride! She’s a forward going, fun ride with beautiful paces. I’ve owned her for 10 years. Shes never bolted, not spooky, but she is enthusiastic and can be joggy for a minute if she gets excited, so she’s not suitable for novices. Ideally looking for someone experienced who enjoys a bit of sparkle and won’t be phased by a responsive ride. She loves a good canter / gallop when allowed!I’m open to someone wanting to take her to clinics, fun rides, hunting, etc., and there may also be the opportunity to ride my two younger horses currently being brought on.Flexible days and riding as often as you’d like — I just want her to be enjoyed!A financial contribution is required, to be discussed depending on how often you’d like to ride.
I have two New Forest Mares, with another rider helping me. We are looking for someone to help with a mare that was broken in during lockdown and then hacked out. She is now having regular lessons and being schooled. She has great potential for someone who would like to get involved showing her under saddle, doing some dressage and a bit of jumping. You will need to be a reasonable rider who knows what an outline is and half halts, though we both have lessons regularly. We have now got both ponies so they can be hacked separately, but they mostly go out together Both are forward going to ride, but are snaffle mouthed. They live in a livery yard in Longdown with riding directly onto the Forest and there is a ménage. You will need to be a lightweight rider, probably not over 10 stone and not too tall.We are looking for someone who can step in and take over some of the riding from me. One of us is in our 60’s and the other one is 25. You will need your own rider insurance We are looking for someone who can give a little help with looking after them and a financial contribution. Please email me if you are interested or have any questionsUnfortunately no one under 18 is allowed on the yard
My 13 year old, Gentle Giant is looking for an experienced, confident and gentle rider to have fun and further his development with. Tank is a beautiful Belgian draft boy with the kindest nature and quirky little personality too. He can be nervous in some situations that he is unsure of and looks to his handler & rider for confidence, he always aims to please and once he trusts you and has built a bond with you he will try his best for you with anything you ask of him.He is a big boy, however he is very responsive off the leg and is not lazy at all, he is a forward going exciting ride, he feels like your sitting in an armchair and is very safe and sturdy, however he can be strong due to his size and weight, and needs a confident and strong rider to guide him, but he is never dangerous. He works well with voice commands and he loves praise and also lots of cuddles too.Tank is very talented and has come on leaps and bounds since I’ve had him but he’s still learning his way and requires someone with the right attitude, confidence and motivation to help him to continue his progression. He has been to a few shows and is taking it all in his stride, and id be happy for you to take him to shows and clinics once you have gained a good bond together. Tank is green but very willing and loves a challenge and with the right rider he will go far.He is kept at a very professional and friendly yard near to Romsey. The yard has amazing facilities with a large indoor and outdoor school, both with mirrors, viewing areas and access to jumps. There is also miles of onsite hacking with cross county jumps scattered around for our use too, so no road work or leaving the yard for hacking is required at all. He is available 2-4 days a week, days can be arranged to suit you and can include a weekend day. There is no requirement for any yard duties, however a financial contribution will be required and will vary depending on number of days chosen. He is not suitable for a 'happy hacker' or 'novice rider' or someone who’s not ridden in years and needs a calm and patient rider to show him the way without getting cross or flappy so expierenced, confident and kind riders only please, absolutely NO joy riders, time wasters or daydreamers he is a lot of horse and you must be able to handle him in all situations! Rider must be over 18 years old and have proof of their own riders insurance and weigh no more than 13 stone. If you are interested in finding out more about Tank and coming to meet him, please send me an email in the first instance and we can arrange a chat on the phone. Please only apply if you believe you meet the full criteria to get the best out of Tank.

We’d like to find a mainly weekday and could be occasional weekend rider to come and ride one of our 3 lovely horses. We have a few riders/friends who help us keep our horses exercised directly on the beautiful New Forest. Due to a weekday rider having a major operation, there is a regular weekly slot available on a Tuesday AM/PM, could be discussed. Rides go out on a Weds morning, Thurs morning and weekends. Sometimes these slots are free due to rider holidays and other commitments. You would always have the company of other riders on hacks. Our horses are: Humbug 15.3HH coloured ISH, Blue 15.1HH Connemara, Melody 15.2HH young Connie x ISH. All 3 horses are sensible, calm rides. Humbug is an elderly gentleman who has seen the world eventing and is now enjoying a quieter life hacking. Humbug has the most availability but ride spots come up on all 3 horses if it suited. We are looking for someone who is a lightweight (max of 10.5 stone), competent and experienced rider and happy to chat on a hack. Please note that this weight limit is really important - Humbug is very precious to us, and we don't want his limbs over-burdened at this late stage in his life. We don’t ask for any financial contribution, only 20 mins of chores e.g. poo picking before or after a ride. You will also need your own rider insurance. The horses are based in Woodgreen, near Fordingbridge.
Looking for a confident adult rider that wishes to part share a fun, eye-catching, 8 year old, 15.1hh Welsh D chestnut gelding. You will need to have owned or loaned your own horse in the past and be a kind rider with some spare time on weekdays and an occasional weekend. He is based on a small private yard near Emsworth with excellent facilities where he is to stay. He is a very loving and cheeky chap who is progressing well in his ridden and pole work, loves jumping and is growing in confidence all the time. The right person will have the opportunity to take or be taken to clinics, riding club events, shows, fun rides etc. should they wish.He has been trained in natural horsemanship and is accomplished in his groundwork, liberty training and free jumping. He is great in traffic and enjoys going out in the trailer to take part in local events and shows. It is important for you to continue the same horsemanship methods and values he is familiar with. This will include you initially financing some one-to-one lessons with his trainer to build your relationship with him.No yard work necessary but your own rider insurance will be required and a contract in place with a small monthly contribution. Please get in touch if this sounds of interest.

Sox is a 14.2hh, 7 year old Registered New Forest Pony, kept near Beaulieu. He is a forward ride out hacking, progressing well in the school and a real cuddly character. I have owned Sox since he was foal and know him inside out. I am looking for someone to give him some extra fuss, as well as exercise, 2/3 times per week due to my shift work. You will need to be reliable, trustworthy and kind. Whilst he is a chunky build. I am looking for someone no heavier than 10.5stone. Sox is not a novice ride as he can throw a cheeky buck, though he is not dangerous. My coach is onsite for training (ideally would want you to have a lesson at least once a month) and other liveries hack out, Sox prefers company. Happy for you to hack out alone but you must be a confident rider as he takes confidence from you. He loves to jump but is green. You would be welcome to take him hacking, schooling and possibly compete. You would have to help with his care on their share days. Summer this is poo picking - winter he is in over night so ideally a bring in or turn out and muck out.Due to my shift pattern you’d have to be flexible on days.References are required, as well as riding insurance and a BHS contract would be in place.Financial contribution required.
April is up for share as she needs more work and i’d like her to be fitter. she would suit fairly confident 11,12 yr old to have fun on her, is very confidence giving pony and will teach you lots. she loves to jump will do 60-70cm course but i believe she could go bigger as does 80 easily. travels well and am happy for sharer to to pc rallies ect for the right person, she would never buck rear bolt and is a very honest, genuine pony who just wants to please :) hacks alone and in company can be nappy on her own would never do anything to unseat rider just walk backwards but with firm confident rider she’s fine. i mostly hack her so would like someone to do more of the schooling and jumping and still some hacking. in summer holidays i am always up at the yard so am happy for sharer to be dropped with me and spend the day, very flexible on days. not in any rush to get sharer so will wait for the right person. she really is a one in a million pony.small financial contribution and minimal jobs in your days is all i ask.she can’t have anyone over 5’1 ft as she is not a weight carrying pony and we would never put her in discomfort ,NO exceptions.if your interested text or call +44 7599 263584 thanks
Due to work and family commitments we are looking for someone who wants to ride but doenst own a horse to exercise and bring on two of our boys. A 4 year old 11.3 black cob and a 13 year old 14.1 bay cob. Both are super friendly and safe, ridden by my own children, youngest being a toddler. Perfect on lead rein for her and also off and in school or on hacks for my other kids but very green and stubborn so need more work. Nothing nasty however the smaller one being only young likes to have a companion horse and can throw the odd playful buck when moving into trot to catch back up then on his off days just doesn't want to go at all and bigger cob is similar but without any bucks, he will either not want to go or again likes to follow a lead horse. Both were rescues so our main ask is that you only apply if you are calm and confident with using excessive force as our boys respond best to praise and rewards when doing as asked. Now for the riders, firstly you must have your own insurance and not be a complete novice as this will just waste all of our time and secondly a contract will be in place and we will require some form of contribution which can be discussed once all parties are happy to go forward as to whether that is financial or stable hand kind on the days you do. Looking for probably 3 days a week again to be agreed later on and horses must stay on there own yard but there is plenty of land and places to ride. The more experienced and knowledgeable you are the better all round and any further questions feel free to get in touch
Tilly — a gorgeous 14.2hh New Forest cross with a heart of gold and a bit of cheek. She’s 19 going on 9, still full of beans, and loves nothing more than a good hack in the countryside or a dance in the school. She is no confidence giver and likes to test her rider out, She has a right to do so, she's a ginger mare. Please scroll past if you have only ever been on riding school horse's.Happy hacker's only, although lesson's once a week allowed.🚫 NOT FOR A NOVICE — she’s safe, but she likes a rider who knows what they’re doing/if your experience is riding school only, please understand she is not a school master or first pony.✅ Ideal for a confident teenager or lightweight adult. (Confidence in that your brave enough to tell her it's ok to go forward if she is spooky or acting up, and confident to like her fast pace and have ability to slow her down) 9.5 stone maximum.🐎 Brilliant hacking straight from the yard at Eastmoors, St Leonards💡 Floodlit arena on site with qualified instructor available for lessons🏡 Lives out 24/7 with a stable when neededJust looking for someone kind and CAPABLE would spot problems to enjoy her, contribute to her keep, and take on care duties on your riding days. That is often two visits a day, although there is someone on the yard who provides services.Must have rider insurance. £120 contribution per month. If you’re after a little horse who’ll give you her all — and make you laugh, test your abilit while she’s at it — Tilly’s your girl. ❤️DM me for a chat or to arrange a meet-and-groom.
