I am looking for a sharer for my cob ideally a couple of days a week.
I am flexible on days. I have another pony so we can ride out together.

Pony is 14'1, max weight 11 stone. Rider needs own insurance, be 18+ and to drive as we are in the new forest and have no public transport.

We have open forest hacking nearby and loads of quiet lanes, I have a trailer so can also box to enclosures. For happy hacking and can also have lessons locally as well. I do fun rides and beach rides with them, and hacking out in the New Forest is beautiful. Ideally to ride out with me as I have 2 ponies to use.


Both ponies are well behaved and easy going, no novices.


Financial contribution required of £25 per week.

If you are looking for a horse to share in the Winchester area, this is as near to a unicorn as you will find.

He is a perfect gentleman that loves cuddles and affection. He is well bred, moves beautifully, is forward and responsive but super safe and a joy to hack alone or in company.

At 18, his days of competitive SJ are behind him and if you like to pretend you are at badminton whilst out hacking, he is not for you, but if you are looking for a kind, beautiful horse to hack, school and maybe do clinics and dressage, he could be for you. He has regularly been ridden by children and would suit a child coming off ponies as well as someone just wanting to hack / school. He is a confidence giver but if you are nervous he probably isn’t for you.

He has to stay at his present yard just outside Winchester (very friendly and super facilities and hacking) and a significant financial contribution will be required. The right person is more important than any person. He has so much to give. He makes me happy every time I see him and if the right person is out there, I am sure they will love him too. Available for Part loan, possibly full loan to stay at current yard near Romsey, min 3 days per week, days negotiable to suit you. Full up 16hh Irish Gelding, rising 9 years old. Done a little of everything during his 4 years in the military, had some time off due to injury and has now been carefully brought back into work. This absolute sweetheart of a horse is suitable for most riders, from confident novice to riding club levels. He is still gaining fitness so I need someone happy to help achieve full fitness by carrying out various activities including pole work, hacking etc, he likes jumping, but we haven’t done much of that yet, he loads and travels well and is good in wide open spaces and on the roads. Will stand all day and be fussed, he’s gentle and kind and needs a lovely person to come and pamper him, treat him as your own and have some fun with people on a lovely welcoming yard. Ziggy is a kind, friendly and sociable 14.1hh New Forest gelding, based in Sway with direct access to enclosure and Forest, so no road riding required.

He is a genuine pleasure to be around, both in and out of saddle. He loves gentle hacking, adores being fussed over and is very easy to handle in the ground. I also take him out regularly in hand which he loves - although he will try to seize any opportunity to grab a sneaky snack or browse along the way. He is a much loved, happy pony.
I’ve had him since he was a foal and he is now 11, so he is very relaxed and settled, and does not suffer from separation anxiety. He can go out alone and in company.

He is non- spooky and straightforward, doesn’t bolt, buck or rear.
He is looking for a sympathetic rider to match.
Would especially welcome an older rider who appreciates a slightly gentler pace and simply wants to enjoy a safe pleasant ride, with no ambitions to race around - just a calm, relaxed partnership.
Maximum rider weight for the share is 10 stone.

One thing to be aware of; Ziggy has PSSM1 (a common muscle condition found in some native ponies and other breeds), but please don’t let this put you off. He is very well managed through careful diet and appropriate exercise and rugging, and he lives a full and comfortable life. The only requirement is that you are sensitive to ensuring he is fully warmed up in walk for first 15 minutes or so, before asking for more.

Experienced Schoolmaster for Part Loan or Lease

17hh KWPN 16yo gelding, a true gentleman on the ground and under saddle. He is an experienced schoolmaster, previously competed BS 1m and dressage to elementary, with scope to do more with the right rider.

Available to part loan from his yard in wellow near Romsey with good facilities indoor school etc. contribution required of £275 per month for 3 set days a week (one weekend day) and stable duties on your days. We have clinics, riding clubs and small competitions within hacking distance of us. It’s a really friendly yard with lovely people and the hacking is not bad.

The other options available are to full lease either staying at my yard with an annual lease fee of £1000 (plus all the usual costs of keeping a horse: livery, vet and farrier etc) or to move yards where the annual lease fee would be £2000.

I’m looking for an experienced rider for my 14hh cob mare
No novices, not because she is naughty or unsafe, just because she is still young and learning. She needs someone experienced to help her with this. She has been professionally backed and is being hacked twice a week by her trainer currently.

Ideally looking for someone long term as although I bought her for myself (at weaning)she is unfortunately not going to be big enough for me and I want her to have a person.
Due to her age she does have around a 10st weight limit.

Initially looking for someone who will hack her out and enjoy her although more than happy for her to be taken to shows etc as she continues with her education.

She is not for sale or full loan.
Her current yard does not have a school but there is field space and great hacking.

16hh 5yo Thoroughbred ex racer.

Tilly hacks alone and in company however when alone she can be nappy, this is a lack of confidence and over time will improve, you just have to be firm but patient, will go first or last, is relatively unspookable, is good to catch, lead, groom, travel, farrier & teeth. She is a fairly straight forward easy going ride if not napping.
However, she is young. It wouldn’t take her long to figure out if you are nervous or a novice and I’ve no doubt she would use this to her advantage so as such ONLY EXPERIENCED riders who are not scared of big horses. Tilly has no “vices”, she only has a couple of niggles being an ex racer she struggles with standing still, once mounted she wants to move straight away and when tied up she won’t often stand still, she fidgets constantly.

She will be worked on a majority of the time by myself however I do not want someone who comes along just to ride! I need someone who will train alongside me to keep her training consistent so if you aren’t prepared to do some groundwork and schooling then please don’t contact me.

Tilly really is an absolute diamond, a very rare find for a thoroughbred, she’s anyone’s ride but this doesn’t mean I want anyone riding her, her education needs to be solid and consistent and as such I need experienced people only.

16hh Welsh D gelding, he is safe to ride, never reared, bucked and has brakes. He is a forward ride but very fun and sensible. His ground manners aren’t too good (only around food) so need an experienced person to handle him, he can be pushy but will let you groom and tack up no problem and loves a good brush. Just best to leave him be until he has finished his food!

Weight limit max 12 stone.

We own our own field, so no real stable policies or strict rules just as long as horses fed, watered and poo picked, no interference from owners on your day.

Can ride out alone or in company, there are many people along the track you could possibly ride with.

Direct forest access no road work required. Financial contribution required.

Sox is a 14.2hh, 7 year old Registered New Forest Pony, kept near Beaulieu. He is a forward ride out hacking, progressing well in the school and a real cuddly character. I have owned Sox since he was foal and know him inside out.

I am looking for someone to give him some extra fuss, as well as exercise, 2/3 times per week due to my shift work. You will need to be reliable, trustworthy and kind. Whilst he is a chunky build. I am looking for someone no heavier than 11 stone. Sox is not a novice ride as he can throw a cheeky buck, though he is not dangerous - he’s been hoof perfect recently but just want rider to be confident in dealing with them should he throw in a buck. There are other liveries hack out, Sox prefers company. Happy for you to hack out alone but you must be a confident rider as he takes confidence from you. He is known to nap, and can chuck in a buck and spin but am working on his confidence in hacking out alone. The more he does it the better it’ll get. He loves to jump but is green.

You would be welcome to take him hacking, schooling and possibly compete.

You would have to help with his care on their share days. Winter he is in over night so ideally a bring in or turn out and muck out.

Due to my shift pattern you’d have to be flexible on days.

References are required, as well as riding insurance and a BHS contract would be in place.

She is a bit of a plod however there is a 5th gear available, which can come into play in the winter months or in company, no nothing dangerous she just might be a little stronger!
She is a typical cob who does try to snack if she can get away with it ! But if rider is firm and preempts she fine.

Lovely mare available to loan 2-3 days per week. Retired poly pony around 15.2hh with plenty of life left who enjoys lots of hacking and very much still up for the odd canter! Good hacking from the yard with various routes available and different people to ride with although she is just as happy to go out alone. 100% in all kinds of traffic although she can spook at the odd stick but these are never very big- more of a look and side step. Her only fault is that she occasionally decides standing still is too boring and will fidget so does need someone who can cope with this.

We are looking for someone sensible and reliable to give her some attention and riding- preferably weekdays but happy to discuss a weekend day too. Happy if loaner can only do once a day as we can still do the other end. Please note a weight limit of around 11 stone due to size and age. Field kept with a nice shelter and store room so minimal duties, with small financial contribution.

Dixie is a very well schooled all rounder looking to further in her dressage. She has competed up to Novice and has the potential to go further with the right rider. She is very good natured and well mannered, but can be excitable and strong so therefore needs an experienced rider. She loves her work and that is shown bey her eagerness to perform.

I’m looking preferably for an over 18 rider who can take a couple of my ponies out a few times a week, riding out together with me to start with.
I don’t have the time to keep them all in consistent work☹️
14,1 chunky cob, driven for three years, now ridden but young, green, immature & playful! So you need experience for quick correcting & forward riding!
14,1 NFP older, he is an excellent forward easy pony with the right rider but he knows every trick in the book so you need to be on the ball and know what you are doing on the ground as well as in the saddle and he has to like you!😳
Also another due to come back into work this spring after having 2 years off due to lack of rider and then a ligament & tendon injury.
I’m not looking to pay someone or put them on part loan, I would just like them sensibly ridden consistently to progress😁no jobs to be done either or optional👍any contribution to upkeep would be gratefully received 😁I have no facilities so we’re straight out onto the road for a trot around the block or 1 mile of road work to the forest and enclosure 🌳

Part Loan – 16.1hh Irish Sport Horse Mare (Glo)

I’m looking for a kind, reliable part loaner for my lovely mare Glo, 2–3 days a week including one weekend day.

Glo is a 20-year-old Irish Sport Horse who I’ve owned for nearly 10 years. We’ve spent many happy years eventing together, but she is now semi-retired (her big eventing days are behind her 🥲). That said, she still absolutely loves getting out, having fun and being busy!

Please don’t be put off by her age — you honestly wouldn’t know she’s an older girl. She’s full of character and still enjoys hacking, fun rides and the odd adventure. She’s happy to pop a small fence now and then, but I’d prefer jumping to be kept to a minimum.

Glo needs a confident, level-headed rider as she can be strong at times and may throw in a excitable rear (They are never big and never dangerous) She’s not for someone wanting to charge around or jump 24/7 — I’m looking for someone sensible who will enjoy her for what she is now and treat her with love and respect.

She has mainly been lightly hacking over the last year, so her fitness will need to be built up gradually. For the right person, I’d be very happy to take you out to fun rides, beach rides ect.

Available for part loan, 15hh Welsh and 12.3 mini cob. Based in Ringwood at a private yard (just us here) and only a 10 min walk down a quiet road until you are straight onto the open new forest national park, stunning hacking in all directions with the wild ponies around you.

Can be loaned individually or as a parent and child share.

The mini cob is a lead rein pony for a novice or off lead rein for someone who knows how to ride. He is pretty unflappable but definitely not a kick along and responds well to voice commands. Max rider weight 55kg

The Welsh is a stunner once he looses his winter coat and doesn’t buck, rear or bolt, he rarely spooks and has very comfortable paces. He turns off the leg nicely and is at at the beginnings of learning an outline. He is only 6 and he is quick off the leg so you don’t need to be a pro but he does need someone who is competent and used to forward going horses, rides and balances with their seat and doesn’t grip with their legs or haul with their hands. Max rider weight 70kg.

£50 a week per pony to help towards their costs (£80 if you’re loaning both). Available for a set 3 days a week. The ponies are your own these days so yard duties to be covered on these days including poo picking for that day. (No stable mucking out as we try not to stable them), there are often more days available in the school holidays as we like to go away. You must have your own riders insurance.
