We’re looking for a reliable person to help look after our 5 friendly lurchers for a few hours, probably 3–4 times per week (mainly afternoons). This is a great opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys working with dogs - could suit a student, retired person, or someone working from home - there's even the option to base yourself at our place while you work, keeping the hounds company at the same time! A live-in option could be discussed.

**Responsibilities include:**
• Keeping the dogs company and ensuring they are happy and settled
• Supporting basic dog training and reinforcing good behaviour
• Feeding and monitoring routines and maybe some local lead walks
• Maintaining a clean, tidy environment (including general upkeep of dog areas and light household tasks by agreement).

The New Forest Bloodhounds (Lyndhurst, Hampshire) are looking for a part-time/freelance groom for the 2026/2027 Season – to start in July.

The New Forest Bloodhounds are a clean boot pack based in the New Forest. Hunting the Clean Boot is a fully legal sport involving Bloodhounds hunting human runners - it is currently exempt from the government’s plans to tighten legislation around trail hunting.

We are looking for someone with high standards of turn out in keeping with the finest traditions of hunt etiquette, able to ride and exercise up to three hunt horses, with availability to ride out with the huntsman’s second horse.

A 7.5t lorry licence is preferable. It will also be considered if the groom wishes to keep hunt horses at their own premises nearby.

We are looking for a kind, reliable person to accompany a lady, who has learning disabilities, to her pony.

The role entails ensuring her pony and others are fed and cared for. Accompanying/ overseeing her out for short rides in the new forest or in the fields in the yard. Opportunity for a pony to ride along with her for the right person. She is capable of tacking up etc and general horse care, but needs support due to her learning disabilities.

The hours are Wednesdays 9-1 and alternate Saturdays 9-2.

Key Responsibilities

•Act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL), supporting safeguarding policies and procedures

•Support career development and employability, particularly for school-refusing teenagers and young people facing barriers to education
•Deliver Pony Club Mini Badges

Essential Requirements

•Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain)

•Confident, calm, and empathetic communication style
•A genuine passion for equine-assisted learning and therapeutic environments
•Full driving licence due to rural location

Desirable

•An understanding of responsibilities within Primary and Secondary schools and Hampshire County for SEND students, work experience placements and home schooling support.
•Experience within RDA, equine therapy, education, or mentoring roles
•Knowledge of BHS programmes, Pony Club, or similar structured awards
•First Aid Certificate

We are looking for a caring & reliable person to fulfil a full time role on our small family run farm and golf course.
It would initially be to cover maternity leave of approximately 1 year as We have two staff due to leave shortly.

We are still looking for another member of staff to join our team at School Farm Equestrian, Lockerley.
Ideally someone able to work a 40 hour week or a 32 hour week.
It is essential that you have previous experience either working with horses or owning a horse.
Own transport is necessary as we are not on the route for any public transport.
Unfortunately there is no accommodation here but own horse is a possibility.

7.30 feed and turn out horses.
8.30 muck out approx 6/7 stables each, hay, sweep and tidy.
10.30/11.00 30 mins for coffee
11.30 catch horses in
12.15 hay, skip, feed and sweep
1.00 lunch break for one hour
2.00 catch horses in, and afternoon jobs.
3.30 skip, hay, sweep
4.45 feed
5.00 Finish
