NFED Services Directory Help & Frequently Asked Questions

Troubleshooting Photo Uploads πŸ“Έβ—

πŸ“Έ Uploading & Exchanging Photos
Photos can be uploaded or replaced at any time after the advert has been created by going to the Advert Control Panel. Your advert details and links are also included in your NFED Classified Advert Details Email.

All adverts accept four photos in jpg, bmp, png or gif format.

On the photo upload page, you will see four upload options: one main photo and three extra photos. Select the photo you wish to use, then click the blue upload button. If the photo is uploading, you will see the cantering horse timer ⏳.

You will receive a Thumbs Up πŸ‘ when a photo uploads successfully. The main photo must be uploaded for the other three photos to show.

Click Check Advert & Photos to confirm the images are correct. To change a photo, use the corresponding Go Back button and select a different file.

If a photo is rejected, you will see a red error message ⚠️. This is usually caused by an incorrect file format. Try again with a different file, ensuring it is jpg, png or gif.

If you are using a mobile, upload one photo at a time. Reducing the image size and using WiFi or 4G πŸ“Ά will help avoid common upload problems caused by large files or slow connections.

πŸ“± iPhone or iPad
Photos must be uploaded as jpg, not heic. HEIC is an Apple format that is not recognised by website servers, so although it may upload, it will not resize or display correctly in browsers.

If your device is on factory/default settings, photos are converted to jpg automatically. Changing settings to “Keep Originals” will cause issues.

Go to Settings > Photos Scroll to Transfer to Mac or PC Select Automatic

Photos should then upload as compatible jpgs without needing to edit your originals.

Please include your Advert Number. If there is a particular photo you prefer as the main image, please provide the file name or a clear description. Please don’t say “the first photo” — the order may change when they are sent.

Email Send photos to editor@nfed.co.uk You can also reply to your advert details or shopping cart emails and attach the photos.

⏳ How Long Will It Take?
We can only upload photos when we are in the office, so there may be a short delay. We will confirm when they have been received and uploaded. If you don’t hear back within 24 hours, please contact us again — some photos are too large to email, so we may not have received them.
