Big, beautiful, black stocky 14.2hh 3yo Welsh D Gelding
Reggie is the sweetest most laid back 3yo you will come across. He loves kisses cuddles and all the fuss possible. He is easy to handle, bath, for farrier, vet etc. up to date with everything.

Reggie - 14.2hh 3yo Welsh D gelding. If I didn’t tell you he was 3 then you’d be none the wiser. He is the definition of old head on young shoulders!

He is newly backed and is now just out hacking (due to his age).
- i hack him alone and in company
- He will go in front or the back and strolls along on the buckle
- I have given him 4 days off, jumped straight on and hacked him by himself, on the buckle with clay shooting going on in the field next door.
- I’ve done all the stupid stuff on board you could think of and he isn’t fazed in the slightest.
- I’ve even tied my little 12.2 gelding to him and gone hacking through the woods with him trailing along behind🙈
- I have to dismount and remount for a gate every time and he stands waiting patiently.
- We have a train track which is directly next to my yard (literally behind a single bush) and again, completely unfazed.
- I’ve cantered him along the wood track and in a field, he’s quite happy to take it steady.
- no vices. Not once bucked, reared or bolted.
- He has schooled twice, they were his first 2 times ridden, showing he has a super natural head carriage seeking the contact and being soft in the mouth. But he has only hacked since as I believe this is where a baby his age should be.

On the ground he’s a dobbin, loves every bit of attention possible, a complete sweetie. Can have pushy moments but these are rare and just playful baby behaviour. He loads, up to date with everything etc.

The one and only “negative” to Reggie is that his feet weren’t maintained as a youngster which has lead to him being toed out which cause foot imbalance issue and some puffiness to his coffin joints. I have full x-rays, MRI & reports as I wanted all info for any potential homes. All we have done is put shoes with a slightly wider heel, very basic thin pads and some putty for compression. So nothing major. And then it’s remedial trimming to keep his foot balance in check. It’s proven for this to of worked as he is now sound and happy, working super! There is no reason he can’t go to have a normal happy ridden life as an alrounder but alternatively, given his fantastic ridden attitude, could just go be someone’s happy hacker.

He is priced as he is before I take him out to the beach etc where I know he will continue to prove how incredible he really is.
2k an absolute bargain for someone and he really will be missed 🥹🖤
