Rising 5 year old new forest colt. 13hh. Has one testical but don’t let that put you off. He has been checked by 2 vets now who both say Right testicle likely within inguinal canal. Palpable and possible high flanker that has descended through canal. Did not drop at all with sedation so impossible as standing procedure. Unfortunately because we are on the isle of wight we do not have a place to do this surgery in a sterile environment.
Pepsi is a lovely compact pony with lots to love. He’s a gentle, playful little lad.
We brought him as a yearling and he had been left to be a youngster with our ponies. He goes out with geldings and stallions. He LOVES to play with his field companions. He’s traveled well as we have lots of ground we rotate around so is great to travel. Respects electric fencing and has lived next to mares behind electric with no problem.
We sent him to GHW Producer and Show Jumper for a month to be broken in, he was on her yard of mares and geldings, calling to the other ponies but calm when had anything done to him. She has schooled him, hacked him and jumped him. He has had month off (march) and will be brought back into work by myself.
Only reason for selling is we don’t have a jockey small enough for him to keep him. My youngest daughter is taller than me now! Otherwise he’d stay.
He’s never been used to cover mares but has been on the yard while I’ve covered mares with my stallion. One testical descended but other never came. We haven’t gotten a vet (has been seen now) to try to look for the other one as we always have a place for him to live and not be a problem.
Has had teeth checked in October, no problems. Has never had shoes but had trims and is good for farrier. Has had no injections. Was wormed for everything in February.
