Description
Sweet Welsh sec A gelding approx 12 hh, strawberry roan, 13 yrs old. Ideal lead rein pony, but not suitable off lead rein for smaller rider as can be a bit jumpy, and has thrown a buck in after a long time off work. But with regular work will make make a great pony for someone. He was sent for a refresher to be professionally trained last winter and didn’t put a foot wrong, he was happily hacking in company with lightweight but experienced rider. He is green in terms of schooling but perfect lead rein pony and could go far in the right home. He is good on the ground to be groomed and to lead in and out of field. He can be tricky to catch sometimes but usually come to food or carrot!, but is better when he gets to know you. He is up to date with worming, foot trimming, and teeth. I Have just restarted his vaccinations as they had lapsed. He is ok to load, sometimes stops on the trailer ramp, but if let him stand for minute and and ask him on again he usually goes in the trailer and he is good when travelling. He is good with the farrier and horse dentist. He will come with his bridle and turnout rug.He is wasted at present as my daughter has outgrown him and is sitting the field not doing much. This is a sad sale as he is such a sweet pony, and he needs a knowledgable home that will keep him in regular work.£1200
Sadly, due to lack of time, I am looking for a new home for this lovely pony.Scully is 4 years old and ready to be backed now as he has taken a while to be ready both physically and mentally. He is approximately 12hh, bay with 4 white socks. He has been bitted and is happy to be lead out, good in traffic, with machinery and tractors. Stabled during the day at the moment, and he is happy in on his own. Lives on fresh air, and wintered out with 3 others unrugged. He can be a bit nervous of new people and takes a while to trust you, but once he has your trust he will do anything.Excellent with farrier and vet, up to date with all vaccinations, worming etc.I hope we can find him his forever home as he will make a fantastic childs pony£600 negotiable to right home. Please email for photos as I can't upload at the moment.
13.3hh 9 year old Heavy Cob Mare A real Lovely type! Ideally Selling as a brood mare as feel she would be happier with this life and I don’t want her passed on ! Nellie Has been ridden but is far happier in the field.Nellie has a tendency to gain weight so cannot be on lots of grass. She has fat in funny places! Which the vet said is typical of EMS… this does not affect her in any way other than she can’t be on loads of grass!Where the fatty deposits under the girth area, this may explain the bucking due to the discomfort of the girth. Another reason why I feel she should be a broodmare or companion. (Would be fine to plod as a lead rein )Please do not contact me if you are a novice and think you just get on and ride her. I do not want her passed from pillar to post and end up in the wrong hands. Good to tie up and groom and good with farrier. Only selling as have a new baby and do not have the time to give her the attention she loves and needs. Up to date with vaccinations, teeth and passported. Happy to share vets information.Genuine homes only!No dealers. Price to be discussed Sold from field

Beautiful 14hh Appolosa x Exmoor mare 12yrs old. Has done dressage, fun rides and a little bit of jumping. Unfortunately I wouldn't class her as a child's pony as she is quirky, forward going and has her moments but with the right rider she will go beautifully she just needs to know who's boss! 100% in traffic, She hacks out alone and in company. Upto date with everything. Very good doer.I will only let her go to an experienced light weight adult £2500 Happy to do a loan with view to buy either at current yard or possibility of her moving but will need to be local to Wimborne.07902287396Phone calls only please
Very sad sale of my 13yr old 14.3 Newforest X Warmblood mare.Good to load, for the Farrier, Dentist. Can be nervous of vets. Up to date with jabs. Good to catch when in a routine but can have the odd day where if you don't go armed with treats you've got no chance!Would suit a lightweight adult. She's not a fan of young children. When ridden she is not a novice ride and is very forward going so would suit a confident rider.Unfortunately due to my circumstances she has not been in work for a while. She has recently been brought back into work. Has been fab on the ground but trying to get on has been an issue (side stepping at mounting block). After 2 weeks of working on her she has let me get on but on the 7th day bolted once I was on. I do believe this is due to an ill fitting saddle which hurt her. Unfortunately I just don't have the time to keep going hence why she is up as a project and will be sold from field.£2500
Tentatively looking for a lovely new home for our little Sec A, Tan the Man (Ballinacarrig Setanta 2015 - Afan Hilldrift x Gleinant Syrup). We have had him here at the Farm for the last 6 years, since he arrived in the UK from Ireland, and in that time have seen him turn from quite a nervous baby in to a loving, very well behaved Stud. That said, he most certainly isn't a novice pony, and will be offered to some one who is experienced in being around Studs and the responsibilities of owning one. He can be strong on just a head collar, so I turn him out on a control head collar and he is absolutely fine. Comes to call. Impeccably behaved when wearing his bridle. Can be a little nervous of people he doesn't know in the stable, but is your best mate when he realises you aren't a monster!!!! Jumps (literally!!!) on the lorry and is great to travel. Very well behaved and easy to do at shows. Can be quite loud when unloaded, letting every one know he's arrived!!!! He's great fun to show, from local to County Level, and has done very well, always in the reds and blues!!!! He is totally wasted with me now, as I am becoming very busy with my Bedding Business, as well as the Livery and I just can't show them all, he deserves his some one and to go out and do something more as he's doing nothing atm 🙁 His vaccinations are up to date. The world is his, Stud work - would need to be licensed, 2 very correct dingly danglies!!! Gelded? Driving? Showing? Ridden? Who knows!! Comes with a custom made Show Bridle! Any questions, please ask if interested!! Situated N Dorset. £900.00 which is VERY Negotiable. A Kind knowledgeable home is very much more important.
SHREDDIEWith a heavy heart, I am looking to rehome Shreddie due to lack of grazing. Shreddie is a five year old, Connemara X, 14.3hh gelding. He was injured as a colt and has been intermittently lame on his front leg since. This has been investigated by the vet and though he can't find anything obvious, sadly, Shreddie never came sound. I was fully aware of this when I acquired Shreddie and I have always used him as a companion pony, where he has been amazing. He's a really sweet natured pony, who is great to handle and a real confidence giver with youngsters. He's calm and kind and not at all aggressive and gets on with mares and geldings. He lives out all year round and can be rugged in winter if necessary. He's brilliant and patient with kids and fine with dogs and cats. Good to load, shoe, worm. He can be left alone in the field or stable without other horses around. I would love to find him a home where he can be happy - living out with others or being a companion. If I had space I would keep him but it's not a possibility now. Happy for him to be loaned out as a companion

3 year old Connemara x Dartmoor gelding. Hard sale as he’s such a lovely chap, but he just won’t make the height for me. Putting him up now before I break him as I’m tight for time and struggling financially, but he will make an amazing child’s pony. The price will go up once broken. He has been lunged, had all feet picked up, loves a pamper and he’s been rugged. He’s the easiest young horse I’ve ever dealt with, he’s like an old man! Super quiet and can be turned out with anything. He should make 13hh at least, last time I measured was 6 months ago and he was 12’2 and very bum high. He’s been led round the woods and wasn’t fazed by anything. Please get in touch for more info 2800 ono
Retired sound from racing end of last year (only ran twice). He's had time out in the field since then & also been in on the yard. He's easy to do, nicely put together and would make a great all-rounder. He does weave in stable when stressed but thisnhas improved the more he's been in & in a routine. He is sold as he is ready to start re-training. I have no time or facilities to do so, so please don't expect a horse to teybor get on straight away. He needs a knowledgeable home (preferably with ex-racers) to bring him back into work. Please call ONLY for more information.£2250 absolutely no offers
*Free to right home only - Contribution towards large wardrobe*Charlie - Claggen Golden warrior 16h GeldingCharlie is looking for his last forever home, this is a lovely opportunity for the right person or someone simply looking for a companion…..Twenty years young we have owned Charlie for five years. In this time Schoolmaster Charlie took our daughter on from pony to horse teaching her all the British showing jumping ropes. They successfully and comfortably competed discovery on a weekly basis with great success. In the spirit of total honesty, about 18months ago Charlie developed a check ligament injury and although not devastating it was enough for us to bring him into retirement, in part due to his age, our love for him and it coinciding with our daughters natural ambition to continue on up the BSJ path…therefore we took this as the opportunity to find a younger more suitable horse. So for the past eighteen months Charlie has been enjoying being a horse again, living his best life in a small herd of geldings enjoying lots of grass! With regard to Charlies check ligament, this could well be perfectly fine now for light non competition work. We would like to find Charlie his last home, As already mentioned its likely he could be brought back into light work with time and care but at this point in time I guess its only correct to seek a companion home for him…..He’s a super genuine character and very much loved by everyone. This is an emotional advert for us but If you feel you could give Charlie the home he deserves then Please call or message for more information.Beth 07770724684
** NOW REHOMED ON LOAN TO A LOVELY, EXPERIENCED LADY. THANK YOU NFED **Is your horse boring? Fancy a new equine challenge?Pretty, affectionate, complicated, stroppy 15.2 10yo Connemara x TB grey mare looking for an experienced, competent long-term home - only available for Loan or LWVTB.I bought Penny in September 2021 as a sensible, easy going pleasure horse, to enjoy long hacks, sponsored rides and light hunting on. However she never really settled with me and it wasn’t long before we were being treated to her sharp and spooky side. I have lost confidence in riding her, and after months of struggle I am finally admitting defeat.GOOD Penny comes to call in the field, is sweet in the stable, good on the walker, easy to groom & tack up and is great for the farrier, vet, saddle fitter & physio (she's seen them all in the time I've had her!) She is confident and calm out hacking, generally non spooky and fine with traffic, bins, men in holes, flags etc. She enjoys hacking up front in company, and is a great nanny horse to others. But when BAD Penny appears… oh wow! She becomes uptight, fresh and VERY spooky. Once she goes into this mode there seems to be no "off" switch, and at times I've ended up dismounting and walking home in tears. She has recently been working on a nifty "spook-spin-buck" manoeuvre which has occasionally precipitated a “wheee-splat-whaah” from her rider! My younger, taller sharer can generally sit it, but as an experienced but middle-aged rider with an artificial leg I’m not quite so athletic in the saddle. She has never, to my knowledge, reared under saddle. However she occasionally misbehaves when being led to or from her field – she can be bossy and a few times when challenged she has reared up and boxed at her handler, before galloping off up the track. Since it’s a long way up to her field, the yard manager has very recently stopped turning her out.Penny is quite lazy in the school, but can work in a nice outline and she has been learning to move away from the leg. She is bright to teach and has a nice soft mouth and lovely paces. (I was shown videos and photos of her jumping and hunting, but I have not dared try her at either!) She thrives on hard work - it seems the more she does the quieter she becomes. She has good breeding on her Sire's side, so also has the potential to make a useful broodmare.Although Penny can sometimes be a lovely, relaxing, enjoyable ride, she is definitely NOT suited to a leisure, amateur, nervous or novice person. She needs a confident, capable rider who is not afraid to instil boundaries and to gain the trust and respect of this sweet, low-mileage, wilful and insecure lady. If you do manage to click with her I’m sure you will have a beautiful, amazing partner for life.Honest advert in the hope there is somebody out there who can tame her! Finding Penny the right home is important to me. Any potential home will be vetted and there will be a Loan Agreement.Serious enquiries only. Not open to dealers or sales livery. Thank you.

Boe is 6 in June and ready to come back in work. He was broken in by a professional in September 2020 and was a gem since. Once brought home he was schooled for a little while then hacked. He has had time off from late summer 2021 to now as I was to busy with work to continue his education. He is now ready to be brought back into work for someone to put there stamp on him. Boe has never been dangerous but does need a confident rider to take him forward and learn the ropes. He will make a great fun little horse with time. I have owned Boe since a foal so I haven’t taken this decision lightly but unfortunately I don’t have the time he deserves and I can’t just keep him as a pet. He loves to be kept busy in work and being pampered. Only health issue which doesn’t bother him is a sarcoid on his sheath and a flat one on his face you can’t even notice unless pointed out. Home is very important to me so I will be vetting before sold. He will come with a couple of rugs. Boe will need to be collected in a trailer rather than a lorry as that’s what he prefers. Travels like a dream just needs patience to get in as he hasn’t done a lot. Please no time wasters!!£2500
