Description

Dots has just come back home after being on loan to a lovely family for over 5 years. Sec A. 12 hh. 12 years. Not health issues. Or vices. She's a lovely children's pony. Typical sec a and can be cheeky. Fabulous lead rein. Brilliant second pony. She can be ridden by begginers off the lead but is not a kick a long. Loves to jump. She could also be a very good companion pony.
I would sell to right home after a trial period. Full loan contract and references required. Stabled in Wiltshire at present. Knowledgeable homes only.

Description

My big idiot baby is 10 years old and I am looking for a confident kind competent loaner for him.
He is a big idiot and needs someone kind and confident and willing to bring home slowly back into work. I have done nothing with him for a year due to my own back issues.

He has been a happy hack with some fun rides thrown in,he also started to do some cross country but is by no means confident at this. He has taken part in jump clinics and has a massive jump but my confidence issues and not really enjoying jumping have limited this. He is excellent on the ground and rides out in company and alone and most of the time remembers his size.
He is good to shoe, clip and travels well although has recently taken to needing a bit of time to get in the trailer!
He really would suit a competent kind gentleman/Lady to bring him to his full potential.
So please if you want to bomb about everywhere without putting in the time to build a team relationship with him then please donít respond.
He is 18 hands, section D x traditional cob go figure?!
This boy has been with me since he was 6months old and needs someone who will stop treating him like a baby.

Description

For full loan offered is our 15'2 6 yr old Gelding Max. We have had Max from weaning, and he is a very special boy to us.

He has been out on a full loan, however his current loaner is sadly too big for him - so he is now looking for his new loan home. Max is very compact (short backed), and therefore in a 16.5" saddle.. it is an absolute MUST that next loaner is able to comfortably fit and ride in this size seat, as he can not take any bigger in saddle.

Max loves hacking out and having attention. He can be a bit lazy in the school, however he is still green due to his age/experience - and therefore he wouldn't be suitable for a novice.† He has popped a small course of jumps, been ridden in an indoor school, boxed up taken new places for lessons and hacks, with no dramas.

We have previously shown Max with much success, winning almost every class. Some of his previous wins are -† SDSS supreme cob champion, TSR regional champion, 3rd @ sunshine tour coloured championships & qualified for TOYS, chaps, RL & SWPA. He won his first dressage competition and has potential to go far showing or in dressage as he has OUTSTANDING movement!!†

He likes to be stabled at night, and is happy to be turned out with mares, geldings or ponies.

Only for loan due to me not riding anymore and he is far too nice to become just a field ornament!

I would like him to stay within Hampshire.

Please NO time wasters

Description

Charlie is available for either full, or part loan, but must stay where he is in Milton Abbas.

He lives out all year, so very low maintenance. He is kept in a field with his friends, which is a 5 minute walk from a yard with great facilities, and professional instructors on site.

We have owned Charlie for 18 months. He was bought for my 13 year old daughter, but she has lost interest in riding. I have kept him ticking over, but due to work commitments, and two other horses to care for, I don't have the time he deserves, or needs.

Charlie has great potential to be a fun all-rounder, but needs a confident rider, who can put the time into him.
He can be spooky if not kept in regular work, and can sometimes do an excited buck, so for this reason NO NOVICES! This does improve if ridden consistently.

He hacks alone and in company. He has a nice jump, and is steady into a fence, but isn't a world beater when jumping. I would say his top height is around 80 - 90cm.

When schooling he can be quite reluctant and behind the leg, but once you get him going, he does school really nicely, but this can take a bit of work to get there.

Charlie is a very clever horse, and he figures people out quickly. If you are not firm with him, he will take advantage of that.

Although he has his quirks, he is a lovely boy, and loves attention.

This decision has not been made lightly, so please only enquire if you think you can give Charlie the time he needs, and you are willing and experienced enough to work with a horse that can be a little tricky at times.

Description

14.2 14yo Welsh x tb mare for full loan. We have had Evie for 4 years. I am going back to university in September and she deserves more attention.

She is very sweet loves attention, never marish with people but flirts with geldings. Loves dogs (will try to follow dog walkers out hacking, tries to say hello when barked at), and happy with our cat in her stable. Non horsey dad feeds her apples. Good to catch, shoe, clip, travels in trailer.

To ride she is a small horse rather than a pony. Loves going out to dressage shows and lessons. I have only done a few prelim classes with her, qualifying Sunshine Tour and 5th at Dressage at Hickstead championships. She did Novice in her previous home, and her full brother is PFEI.

She is not a jumping horse, she has done small grids with me but this is not really her thing, as she is very careful and loses confidence very easily. Loves polework. Has been to the beach.

Her hacking has improved since weíve had her, we have no school at home so have to hack down the lane (both alone and with other horses) to ride. Have met lorries, tractors, bikes, motorbikes, trailers regularly, but she does require riding.

She is sharp and can be spooky, not an on the buckle ride or bombproof. She is sharper in winter and when itís windy. No hunting. She is not for your novice 10yo daughter, for getting back in the saddle, or a happy hacker.

She is fine to be left for a few weeks and get back on, in the sense that sheís not any more sharp than she already is! But I get better work out of her when she is ridden consistently. Good to lunge, but not something we do much of.

The absolute biggest saddle seat size she can take is 16.5Ē, so you will need to be able to ride in this.

No known health issues, sweet itch or laminitis. Never been lame with us.

We love her very much but she needs someone new to have fun with.

Please only WhatsApp me, for videos. I wonít answer any calls. Thanks

Description

Tentatively putting the feelers out for potential loan homes for our two youngsters Daisy and Dinks (both just under 11 hands so would make great driving pair)
Both have been very well handled and have had a good few years growing up learning manners and dealing with dentists, farriers and vets etc. They have been out on many walks around the villages and countryside where they have been staying and both have been introduced to long reining, but are currently unbacked.
As they are both turning 5 this year, we feel that they are now at the age where they need to go out into the world and do a job, or at least be part of a family that would fuss them with grooming and lots of walks out. Alternatively, we would like them to go to a loan home that will back them and turn them into riding ponies as they have the best temperaments and will bring much delight to a small/young rider. Dinks especially loves to jump.
They have the loveliest personalities, no vices and good doers, also barefoot.
We would want them to go together as they are bonded and maximum hour away so that we could regularly visit. If you think you could offer them a good home, please get in touch to discuss.

Offered for full loan to stay in the Winchester area.
Pig is a 15hh, compact Appaloosa X who was professionally rebacked last year. At 11 years old he is listed as a project as there is still lots he has not seen and he is still green.
He has currently had 7 weeks off due to time commitments so will need bringing back into work slowly to rebuild fitness.

Pig hacks in company (will go alone but can be nappy), and also rides well in open fields and the school. He has seen a small course and has not been fazed by fillers, blocks, XC fences or coloured poles.
I believe jumping is something he would excel in given the right opportunity and would be more than happy on a XC course (although untried).

Pig requires an experienced and confident rider to bring out the best in him as he gets all of his confidence from his rider and can be spooky.
He's forward and responsive but rarely silly.

Happy in or out but if stabled will require adequate access to daily turnout.
Great for farrier (always barefoot with great feet), dentist, vet etc. Never sick, sorry or lame in the 5 years I've owned him.
Lives on thin air!

Serious enquiries only - 18yrs+.
NO NOVICES or anyone who's had time away from horses.

10* home only, which will be vetted. References required.

Description

Looking for loving home. Clever little Ruby is a 24 year old mare, standing at 12.2hh. Preferably a home on her own or with a small pony friend maybe.

Very kind natured, very easy to handle. Sweet lady, very pretty cuddle pony. Never kicked or bit a human. Nice to other horses as long as they are nice to her or she will scream at them.

Ruby is special needs as she only has a small amount of sight. Diagnosed by the vet as having cataracts, no pain. Hence she should not be with large horses as she can be frightened by them.
She is a diabetic pony and only needs small amounts of grass topped up with a slice of hay. So a small area is all she needs or larger with poor grass. Lives out but likes shelter. She is a very ornamental lawn mower for gardens and could be happy living in a larger garden.

Due to sight she should not have barb wire or electric tape without a warning non electric sub-fence to warn her.

Ruby loves being pampered and cuddled, with sweet nothings being whispered in her ears. She will call to her human and can be quite chatty. Always comes to call as she loves human company. When she trusts you she might like a little walk as long as you guide her. She knows the word ďcarefullyĒ if an obstacle is in her path for example. She is a very clever and bright pony. I had thought that with little eyesight she might not cope but she does incredibly well. She needs time getting to know a new surrounding and might bump a bit but soon gets the hang of her area and then sheís off even trotting and cantering about. She currently lives in part woodland and copes perfectly. .

I considered her a charity pony, I can make a contribution in terms of hoof care and supply some of her needed minerals. Both of which are very important and make keeping problem free as long as she does not get fat. She must never get fat due to her diabetes but I am happy to help settle her and once her needs are understood she is very easy to keep.

I would like her not to be too far. I will stay in touch and be supportive.. She trusts me a great deal and it is very sad to seek a home for her but I feel she could trust somebody else too and bring much joy to a person or family or maybe be a companion to a equally small kind older pony.

Description

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO ENQUIRED. Hopefully Fortescue has found a great new home. Should he not prove suitable in the trial phase I will contact everyone who has enquired about him or re-advertise him.

For loan: 5 year old New Forest gelding.
Fortescue has been with me since he was 6 months old when I got carried away at the Beaulieu Road sales!
He has only just turned 5 and has not been rushed although he has recently been to three dressage outings, doing intro tests and been placed each time but he will need further education on the flat.
Fortescue loves jumping, proving to be confident and forward going, he is enthusiastic and not spooky. He has been xc schooling once and again has taken it all in his stride.
He is a typical NF pony and can be stubborn and bolshy, as such he does need someone to be firm with him whilst appreciating he is still only young.
He is brilliant to load, travelling on his own to events or in company for forest hacks, he has seen traffic on the roads around where we are and takes most things in his stride or confidence from a companion. He also happily heads off to hack alone.
He isnít overly keen on being clipped but he has been all last winter and I think this will improve each time.
I want him to go and have fun with someone (max weight 9 stone) and do Pony Club/Riding Club activities. He is a great pony who is ready to do more with someone lighter and smaller than me!
He is only just 5 and therefore green so not suitable for novices or the faint-hearted.
I am happy for him to move yards subject to checks and a loan contract in place.
He is very much part of a loved team here so I am not desperate for him to go but heís too good to just be a lawn mower and he needs a nice, confident small jockey to do more with him.
Many videos upon request which I can send via WhatsApp.
If you are interested please do email or whatsapp with what you are looking for and general information.

Description

**to stay at current yard in East Wellow near Romsey, financial contribution required**

Due to having a young baby and lack of time to get back in the saddle, Iím looking for loaners for my 2 Connemaras. 15hh and 14.1hh, super easy going experienced and talented ponies. The bigger pony is only for flat work, great to hack, perfect to ride on the forest, can do fun rides, dressage and happy hacking, excellent in traffic and with farm machinery, generally unphased by anything and very mannerly in open spaces, great for confidence boosting. The smaller pony is a super allrounder and will do a bit of everything, very easy going ride. Both ponies load and travel well, I have a trailer and happy to take you to local shows and competitions. They will not ever leave my yard in east wellow so please donít ask. Really friendly yard with Excellent facilities, indoor school, outdoor show jump course, good hacking and can ride to the forest. Kept on part livery so a financial contribution to cover a percentage of their livery bill, shoeing, feed, insurance, vaccinations and general upkeep etc will be required. Iím a very easy going owner and happy to let a sensible and experienced loaner treat the horse as their own but I can help with some of the stable duties if needed :D
Please donít hesitate to get in touch to find out more
