Tally is a 20 year old fabulous Suffolk Punch gelding. He’s the most loving animal I’ve ever known and will do anything for food! He loves attention and will stand still all day to be pampered (as long as he has a haynet of course!).

I’ve had Tally for many years and he’s one of my best friends. I’ve now got a newborn baby and I can’t give him the attention he deserves anymore. He’s also a tad too big for me at the moment, especially if I decide to have another baby.

Tally spent most of his life as a tourist driving horse in Spain, where he ended up having an allergic reaction to a type of fly. He now gets what presents like sweet itch and this year has rubbed his mane and tail out. He really needs a home where someone can tend to his needs more often than I can and help him grow that gorgeous mane back!

Tally has no vices aside from being large and a bit pushy with food. He lives happily with mares and geldings and is great with the farrier. He is bare foot and really is low maintenance.

Tally would suit a home that can give him lots of fuss. He’d make a good companion.

Tally can be ridden for slow hacks, but he is arthritic and broke his foot a few years ago (which is healed now but he can’t go for fast hacks….not that he’s ever been fast). My husband learnt to ride on him. He’s fabulous in every way!

I can’t stress how amazing this horse is and I want him to find someone who can fuss over him the way he deserves. I’m happy for him to stay at current yard if the person is near Dorchester as long as they saw to him everyday.

I am looking for a confident and skilled handler/rider - no novices.

This is for full loan to stay at current farm- she is very settled here and the location is excellent for hacking/schooling etc. I would consider a move for the right home and person.

Nelly is approx. 14.1hh 17yr Welsh D mare, I have owned her since she was 4 so I know her inside and out. She is a very special mare and has taught me everything I know, she absolutely loves going out for hacks, jumping etc. She has never bucked, reared or kicked, but can get very excited and strong depending on the situation. She is safe with all farm machinery, animals, roads, and cyclists. Good to groom, clip, load and for the farrier. She s a typical mare and can be tricky to catch and from the field, but is manageable once you know how to handle her.

She has done multiple competitions (xc, show jumping, dressage) and beach/fun rides. Winning a fair amount of 1-3 place rosettes. She excels in show jumping but can find the show environment challenging. She previously has jumped and competed up to 80cm but could easily go higher.

She lives in a mixed herd field and stabled at night in the winter. We have a mini Shetland, Shortcake, that is her companion as she has separation anxiety. Shortcake is extremely easy to care for and would ideally be staying with her but this can be discussed.

All in all, Nelly is a very sweet, funny, loving mare. Despite her quirks and issues as a typical welsh mare, she can be worth her weight in gold, having fun hacking around the forest/jumping with the right person.

She has absolutely everything you could need, rugs, tools etc.

I am looking for the right person to loan/share my gelding, Junior, due to pregnancy. He is to stay at his current yard in Copythorne and finding the right person is paramount. He is a sensitive 13 y/o, TB x Welsh who is about 15,2hh.

Good to do in every way and really tries to please. A real pleasure to own and ride! Will look after his rider and is never silly or strong. Has done a bit of everything XC, SJ, dressage, group rides, beach rides, pony club etc. Safe but forward and responsive.

Would suit someone who would be willing to get to know him and have some fun. Would be happy (in time) for sharer to go to lessons/ events/ clinics.

Not a novice ride due to the fact he tries so hard to please (can get eager when jumping and prefers to go on a longer stride) but would be happy for the right person who is looking to improve their riding through lessons.

My boy has had a difficult time due to being punished for mouthing, which in turn made him defensive
I've done a lot of behavioural work with him and his behaviour has improved but he just isn't thriving in my herd
He was backed before I got him and I have ridden him bitless, I feel he would be fabulous for a knowledgeable lightweight rider or child with super knowledgeable parents...he likes to get out and about. Alternatively he could be a companion with lots of enrichment
He's had lots of homes in his short life so this decision is extremely hard but I feel a quieter home with one other companion would suit him best

Prince is a rising 12 year old gem. He is a 16.1hh TB ex-racer. He has been off the track for 7 years now and we have had him for 2 fantastic years. This is a very sad loan due to his owner being unwell and his current rider having exam commitments.

This horse is a pleasure to have around as he is jam-packed with character and a real willingness to please. He has been ridden by a 15 year old rider for the past year and has made excellent progress; dressage test of 61.5%, jumping, hacking alone and in company, liberty work and bareback. He has also been handled by her non-equestrian parents. He is very good to go out with all horses and has never had an issue getting on with someone. Although he has excellent manners both in the saddle and on the ground, he can be quite a handful as he is still an OTTB so would need a confident but quiet rider as he responds well to that riding style. He is a very comfy ride due to his muscular build but can put in small rears when particularly stressed. They are very small and when he is in constant work, are very rare. He can be springy when fresh but never bucks or broncs. He has wonderful manners in the stable and has no vices. He is a very easy horse to do as he is not confined to a specific routine but much prefers to be in work frequently which is the cause of his loan.

He can have a look at things when out hacking but will never fully spook or run away - and with a little push he will walk past it no problem! He has a very nice build that is quite unusual for the, normally very slight, thoroughbred breed. He is a very athletic type and loves to be doing things and we just feel that we are no longer using him to his full potential and we feel that he is too good to be wasted sat in a field. That being said, he is still very good to be ridden after a few days with no riding but we feel that that is just a waste of his potential. He has a lovely jump and with practice and a confident rider, would easily jump a 1m+ course but in the past year, he has jumped up to 85cm at home.

He has had no previous medical problems apart from having thrush a few weeks ago from the muddy field conditions. Has been shod on both fronts for the past year. Can be a bit spooky with the smoke from the farrier but with a calm handler he is absolutely fine.

Frankie is a retired eventer. I have owned him for 10 years and he has taken me onto U18 South West England eventing teams and across the country competing.

This very lovely boy was retired 5 years ago due to a shoulder injury he had from his early days that finally caught up with him and we felt it kindest to no longer compete him. He has since then lived happily as a companion and therapy horse and his shoulder has been consistently stable and never caused us further trouble.

He gets weekly baths, grooming, parelli games, walks in hand round the block and he loves doing pole exercises in the school. His inhand agility and working equitation around obstacles is excellent as I have worked him inhand since the day I first had him. He is very pampered and loved by the whole family. He is friendly to all horses and wouldn't dream of hurting another pony or horse.

Has no vices, loves coming into his stable, does not wear shoes and is very low maintenence. I am moving in with my boyfriend and sadly he cannot come with me, looking for a very special, loving and knowledgeable home only. He loves attention and I don't want to turn him away doing nothing as he has more enthusiasm for interaction with people than this.

For Loan Only - Fini, black Shetland mare, Shetland Society registered & passported, 9 years old and approx 34". Vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, trimmed, teeth done, etc. Excellent to catch, ties brilliantly, good to groom and handle all over, including feet. She has been introduced to light traffic. She has proved to be very bold and curious. She has also started to be lunged & long reined, is getting used to the noise of a tyre dragging behind her, and is about to be bitted & wear a harness.

Fini is a very people oriented pony, so she would like a person of her own that she can bond with. She has lived with smaller Shetland mares with no problems, but we think she would do well with larger ponies or horses, as she is a very confident mare.

Fini would excel in most ways she needs to go to a home where she will do something, rather than just be a field ornament, as she very much enjoys working and has a busy little brain. She is a very solid mare of a good size, so would be a great driven pony. She would also be good for agility as she has proven very brave. Or if you just wanted to go for walks, she would also enjoy that. She has lots of bone, good conformation & paces. She has shown only once at county level as a youngster, and placed highly, so could do very well showing.
While she could be handled by children under supervision, we would like to find her a position for life, so do not want her returned due to being outgrown by a child or a child having lost interest. She is generally very well behaved and good to do, but does have quite a big personality, so would not be suitable for the nervous or novice.

Fini has unfortunately had mild laminitis once, so does need managing suitably weight management, minimal grass and regular exercise, soaked hay, possibly muzzle, etc. She would be ideal to live with another pony who has previously had laminitis, and would be best in a laminitis experienced home. Due to her Shetland tendencies, she does need robust fencing that she cannot step through or over. Full information available to interested viewers. Fini will be loaned out with a full contract, a home visit, and we may ask for references.

Willow is a Dartmoor pony 11.2hhs, 16yrs young, been with us for the last 12yrs but do to massive change to my circumstances she is now looking for a full loan home. She has driven most of her life, which she loves and is very good in traffic and stands for hours when is in full work.
Recently she been used for my grandchildren. she is brilliant on the lead rope but would need a more experienced child as when off the lead rope can get a bit cheeky. Good on the floor and will stand for hours for little people to groom her. She hasn't been driven for the last year only due lack of time, so she will be need to brought back in, possibility of the trap if need we can discuss this on the phone. she does suffer with sweet-itch but manged with rug. Any question please give me a ring, 10* home only to be treated like a princess.

BamBam is a lovely sweet pony, a real yard favourite. He loves a pamper and being around people so a home that will love him and give him plenty of TLC and hugs is a must.

He has been broken is now for 10 weeks and has taken everything in his stride. Now walking, trotting, cantering, going over poles in the school and hacking out. BamBam is a nice balance where he is not too forward and really respectful of the bit but also not a plod that you have to kick a lot, he sits nicely in a good rhythm and listens to both hands and legs very well.

BamBam is now ready to go and enjoy some adventures with a loving family who just want a pony to love and enjoy riding and learning together.

hasnt done anything since last summer so in soft condition (no rider)but LOVES to work. Does walk trot canter each way (easy strike off) and loves to jump (has only done a few coloured poles so needs more education on this) but willing and makes a good shape. Could suit PC home or potentially PC TEAMS. offered as a 2nd pony but could also do lead rein or first ridden in the longer term if older sibling or experienced adult (showing type home) were available to help with schooling.

Dave is a 20 year old TB gelding standing at 17.1.

He looks like five horses glued together, his ears are in the wrong place, his neigh sounds like he s smoked 20 a day for the last 15 years and I m pretty sure he hasn t had a single thought process in years - but I love him.

Dave would absolutely swap you for an apple or an extra haynet. That being said, he is the most gentle sweet old man looking for someone to full or part loan from current yard as a happy hacker. He can be left out of work for a year and fed a bucket of oats and you can still hop right on him and take him round the block with no issues, however I don t want any novices as he is a big lad and can still be keen in the canter if he s feeling well! Doesn t buck/rear. Hacks alone and in company. Good with traffic, stands to mount etc. perfect on the ground to catch lead groom.

Open to someone having him on full long term loan or someone who would like to share him a few days per week. He s just coming back into work so will need a couple of weeks walk/trot to fitten him back up before anything too exciting.

We bought beauty with the knowledge she was very quirky and a typical moody mare, she also has a spavin in both her back hocks. Due to this beauty is unable to be ridden At All!!! However she LOVES to go for walks and still has a very young mind and heart. She will happily lead next to another horse and go out. She can be left alone whilst her friend goes out etc but cannot live alone. She needs a friend to live with hence why she is for companion. Unfortunately I have changed careers and it is unfair to both my ponies that I hardly see them/ have time for them. I am selling my other pony ( Her stable and field Best friend) so I must find her a new home where she can have a new best friend to live with. Beauty is quirky and can be quite moody but she never means it. However this is just a front and she actually loves to be loved! On her terms though. You just have to get to know her and she will love you just as much as you love her. She is offered for long term full loan only please to a home she will be absolutely adored it and spoilt! I am happy to pay for her medication every month for her spavin so this is not put on the loaner and also for her sweet itch too!
