Serious future competition connemara, 14'1 5yo. Same home since Sept 2023 (Rider in videos is 5ft10 so takes up the leg) Beautifully put together with a superb amount of bone, no lumps or bumps. Popping round 80-90 courses with only a few weeks of jumping under saddle, was placed 9th at the all Ireland loose jumping finals 2023 over 1m15 with scope to go bigger. Will make top workers, bs, be pony with more miles on the clock or genuinely fabulous pony club pony who is sure to get you on all the teams. He has been produced slowly and correctly but requires a competent and confident rider to due to age. Has been to dressage, jumping arena hires and done a small amount of hacking due to being on a busy road. Pretty easy boy if you're not a complete novice owner.

‘Edmund Ironside’ or Ed as he is known at home. 16.1hh 5 year old TB gelding.
He has plenty of filling out and growing to do, but is going to mature to be a really nice solid type. Excellent conformation, straight mover and no lumps or bumps. Fab prospect for ROR as he raced on the flat.

Lovely to hack alone and in company, not spooky or silly, brilliant in all traffic and with farm machinery. Sensible in open spaces in front or behind, snaffled mouthed. Good with dogs, sheep, donkeys and livestock!

Schooling sweetly for his age and stage, showing real potential in all 3 paces, with a huge amount more to come. A very comfortable nice horse to sit on. He has just started being introduced to poles and small jumps, so is very green with this, but straight and genuine. Been out to a novice pole clinic and behaved impeccably.

What makes Ed really stand out is his outstanding temperament. I really cannot rate him highly enough, he is adorable, sweet and cuddly, but also sensible and with a really trainable brain. A type genuinely hard to find. Although he is green and early in his retraining he has proven unflappable so far, taking everything in his stride and being exceptionally genuine. He isn’t a spooky type, and is incredibly sensible.

A really nice person in the field and with other horses, currently turned out with a mare and gelding.

Ed’s only vice is that he doesn’t like to be stabled and he will weave and box walk. On 24/7 turnout with a shelter he is very happy and settled, to the extent you can leave him out completely alone overnight while others come in. Unfortunately I can’t offer him this way of life long term, so on top of my own health needs I have reached the difficult decision to find a new home for him. Other than needing 24/7 turnout he is a very easy straightforward horse.

His price in no way reflects what a quality horse he is, just recognises that he deserves a fab home that can meet his turnout needs.

Due to the early retirement of my pony I am looking for a share for around 2 days per week, ideally flexible days due to my work pattern but not essential. I am 5’4 and 9.5 stones so ponies over 14hh would be perfect. I am hoping to hack and would also like to have some lessons if possible. I’m not the bravest rider so a kind and sensible pony required. Happy to help out with chores and pay financial contribution but can’t afford a huge amount as still paying for my pony to live in the lap of luxury! In my 50s and experienced with horse care, very gentle and kind rider/handler.

Hurley is a dime to ride, has bucked once out of excitement but has never reared, bolted or spun, she however can be a little grumpy on the ground - she hasn’t ever bitten or kicked out, she just pulls faces.

She has 3 lovely paces and would do a lovely dressage test

We have jumped her a handful of times ourselves, she proves keen but careful. My mother has jumped her over logs and she hasn’t left the ground in years.

She hacks alone or in company, she has taken my novice partner round the woods and brought on a competent novice in the arena. She is fine with all sorts of traffic from tractors to push bikes.

Hurley does have a slight clubbed foot, this has never affected her work and she has never become lame with this. She has normal shoeing done also so there is no upkeep.

It can take Hurley a moment or two to let you put the bridle on, however the more she is ridden the better this gets.

Bailey is a nice stamp of a pony. He has recently been professionally backed and is currently turned away to mature. Has been ridden by a small adult and has had children sit on him whilst being led and proven himself safe.
Circumstances have changed and no longer have a rider for him, due to this he has only been hacked out a few times and has seen light traffic and kept his composure.
Can be turned out 24/7 or stabled. He is a good doer, but has NEVER been laminetic. Up to date with vaccinations, worming and teeth. Good with the farrier, dogs, pushchairs and children. Has never kicked or bitten. Can be turned out in a herd but currently turned out with a 14.2 Connie.

Harry is looking for a competent teen or small adult wanting to do a bit of everything and have fun. He has mainly been hacking but has hunted, raced in the new forest point to point, been colt hunting and competed in hunter trials, well schooled. He loves having a job to do, can get excitable and throw in a very occasional buck, but is snaffle mouthed. Good to hack alone and in company, unbothered by livestock, traffic or heavy machinery. He travels well but can be difficult to load, but this is only as I don't have my own transport so can't practice. He is kept with a gelding as he can be riggy with mares in season.

He is good to catch, clip, farrier, dentist, vet.
Up to date with vaccines, teeth, farrier and worming.
