We have an arena and direct New Forest access for fantastic hacking. No financial contribution — just poo picking on riding days and help with tack cleaning.I’m easy-going and looking for someone similar who is reliable, sensible and will enjoy the horses.Experienced adult riders only please. Whatsapp me if interested.07950 704466 🐴
I am Looking for a confident, experienced rider to help bring my lovely mare Lucky back into work.Lucky is a 15.3hh Thoroughbred mare who is looking for someone to enjoy schooling and hacking with her. She is currently coming back into work, so she is a little green and will benefit from someone patient, confident and consistent while she builds her fitness and confidence back up.She is not nasty or naughty — she wouldn’t buck, rear or bolt — but she can be a little green and may need reassurance from her rider at times. She is therefore not suitable for novices or anyone under 18.Ideally looking for someone who:• Is confident and experienced with Thoroughbreds• Is happy schooling and hacking,* not wanting to race around.*• Is patient and understands a horse coming back into work• Is reliable and committed• Will work with her calmly and consistently📍 **Based at a yard in Boldre, New Forest**Lucky is a lovely mare with lots to offer the right person, and I’m looking for someone who will enjoy getting her back into a regular routine and building a partnership with her. ❤️**Please message me with a little bit about yourself, your riding experience and what you’re looking for!
2-3 days a week - MUST be a confident, competent rider, please do not be dishonest regarding your experience, these are not suitable horses for people coming back after a bad experience.1st horse - Tilly, chestnut mare, 16/16.1hh 5 years old. Tilly is suitable for a confident novice to an extent but she is a baby, she would take anyone from complete beginner to seasoned rider on a road hack, on the forest she can be wary of ditches and gauze and as such for this she then needs a confident experienced rider to push her on. Schooling she is great but can be nappy/lazy if not consistently schooling. She has never bucked, bolted or reared even when pushed however she can be strong if leading in canter. 2nd horse - Echo, rose grey gelding, 16.2hh, 4 years old. Echo needs a more experienced confident rider, again he has never bucked, bolted or reared but he can be nappy and his napping can mean spinning to go the other way, he is also completely new to hacking and schooling having only come off the race track in April this year so he is still learning everything and learning to slow down. He has paces to die for when riding, he has the most floaty trot and his canter is like riding a marshmallow. He can feel strong and he does still need to learn that he doesn’t have to go fast everywhere but equally he’s a chilled out relatively easy ride in all senses. Both horses are good for the farrier, good to groom and pickup feet. They have their individual quirks which will explain to any potential rider but for ex racing thoroughbreds they are some of the most level headed trainable horses I’ve ever met. Both are willing, safe & honest but green.Due to disability I desperately need help keeping them going. They are based in Sway with fantastic facilities and forest hacking. No joy riders who are looking to just fly around the forest.
I’m looking for the right person to share my lovely boy.Ideally, I’d like him to stay at his current yard, although I’d be open to other options for the right person.15.1hh at his wither but a chunky lad so looks closer to 16hh.He has previously evented up to BE90 for fun, but he now has very mild arthritis and asthma, so I’ve personally taken a step back with him while focusing more on my other horse. He’s up for doing most things still with the right jockey. He is not a novice ride. He can be strong out hacking and is occasionally spooky, so he needs a confident and capable rider who he can take reassurance from. For the right person, though, he is a really lovely horse to spend time with — and he’ll happily stand around all day for a fuss, especially if food is involved! The yard has:• Fantastic off-road hacking• New Forest hacking close by• Floodlit school• Instructor on siteMust be over 18.I’m looking for someone kind, reliable and experienced who will enjoy him and treat him as their own. Contribution & chores required, can be flexible. Please message me for more information if you think you could be the right fit. 🐴❤️
Introducing Mr. Smarty Pants! Smarty is a 11.2, 20 year old Dartmoor and he can turn his hoof to anything. He has taken my daughter from nervous nelly to confident, independent rider. However the time has come to accept that she really is getting too big for him. Smarty is kept at our home in the forest and will not be available to move. We have direct forest access and an arena available. He has everything he needs except from a new best friend. What to know about Smarty. He is the epitome of cheeky pony. He knows all the tricks in the book to test a child, however when they get it he will always deliver. He is completely unflappable out hacking, he has been to the beach and taken it in his stride, he has attended Ellingham show and jump clinics and he is completely unfazed by it all. He can be a grumpy old man at times (he tends to reserve this for the adults) he really likes his children and doesn’t like anyone else interfering. A knowledgeable adult is preferred as you really will get the best out of him for your child if you can remain unbothered by his mood swings. He is never nasty or dangerous but he has bags of character and until you prove to him you are someone worth knowing he will remain deeply unimpressed by you. Smarty has so much to offer the right child and is far from ready to hang up his bridle. He knows his job, loves his work and produces a lovely confident and well balanced rider. If Smarty sounds like he could be the right fit for you then please get in touch. Small financial contribution required and days are flexible.
Looking for a lovely sharer for my kind, talented, honest and safe 15.1hh mare, based at a yard in Sway. She must stay at her current home. She’s fantastic to hack out, good in traffic and confident out on the forest. Gentle, calm and genuinely friendly, she loves hugs and grooming and is easy to do in all ways. No vices – she doesn’t kick, bite, rear, bolt or buck.I’m looking for a sharer who will give her lots of love and enjoy her for who she is, as she’s a total softie!💕. Preference will be given to someone with a genuine interest in either classical dressage or natural horsemanship. No chores to be covered – a financial contribution is required. Please message me if interested and to arrange to come and meet this loving and talented girl.
Sharer opportunity 14.1hh 7yo NF gelding. Very friendly, my 12 year old daughter handles, grooms, tacks up and rides him by herself. Mostly for hacking, or the odd lesson potentially. Would ideally suit someone looking for a couple of weekdays riding but with flexibility as my daughter rides at weekends and in the school holidays often going to Pony club with him. Could be perfect for somebody that perhaps has their own children, so can only ride in school time or someone that doesn't mind potentially doing different or less days around school holidays time.Located Ibsley, so amazing hacking straight onto the New Forest, around Ibsley common, Rockford common, Linwood etcSmall financial contribution required, own rider insurance required. Over 18, Must be able to drive so can be reliable. Weight limit 10 stone. Not suitable for novice or nervous rider despite his good temperament as he is still green in some ways and gains confidence from his rider. As he is my daughter's pony, it would be regular hacking offered rather than razzing about all over the place as he needs to remain safe for her to ride. Please get in touch if you would like to discuss further 😊
Hi, I’m looking for a kind experienced rider for my daughter’s 15.2hh 6 year old cob. He is a kind soul but cheeky. Not malicious in anyway but due to age requires an experienced rider to bring on and show him the way. Max weight 12stone. Financial contribution required as is personal riders insurance. Lives out so poo picking only will be required, max 4 days a week. Hacking on doorstep and grass school on site. To stay at current yard in Winchester.
He’s a 16.3 Irish sport horse, who has competed up to BE Novice many years ago, he hasn’t competed in a while. He is very talented and excels in any discipline. He is not suitable for a ‘happy hacker’ or ‘novice rider’, he needs a calm and confident rider that can support him and give him confidence. When it comes to hacking he can’t be hacked out alone and is better in a group but, you would need to be prepared not to be able to hack him at all, until you have built up an understanding with him. I’m looking for someone who is able to help me and his other sharer look after him, as due to personal circumstances I am going to be unable to ride for a year. Please no Beginners or Novices and no one younger than 18. Rider insurance required. Looking for a contribution monthly towards him.Based in Droxford. If interested please message me or call my mobile.07908 150261
2 new forest geldings for part loan. 13.3 and 14.2. No novices please. To stay at current yard - can be flexible on days and times but some routine would be ideal for the yard owner to know who is around when. Both hack alone or in company. Great in traffic. Good to show, box etc. both live out all year so just poo picking of field required.
Sadie is a 15 year old mare who we have owned for the past 6 years. She has done a bit of everything – XC, showjumping, hunter trials, fun rides, beach rides etc. I am currently at university and I’m looking for either a part share or full loan for her from our yard based in Fordingbridge, fairly flexible. We have a 60x20 arena for use with jumps, forest hacking accessible via some road riding, and the opportunity to take her for outings in the future.Sadie is extremely easy to do on the ground, a real yard favourite and not mareish. Good with the farrier, teeth, vet etc. Loads into our single trailer well using a Dooley head collar, just requires a bit of time to think about it. Happy to hack alone, and even happier in company. Good with most traffic but when hacking alone she does take confidence from her rider with larger lorries and tractors although I’ve never had any issues. For this reason, she is not suitable for a novice. She loves group rides/fun rides/clinics, I’ve had loads of fun on her out cross country where she will put in the occasional buck when she’s excited, typical opinionated Connie, but nothing dangerous or malicious. She finds the school a bit boring so can be lazy depending on the season, with the right rider she can produce some nice flatwork but requires a bit of effort. Will perk up with a couple of poles, jumps or company. I have shared her with my mum for the past 6 years and she is the sort of mare that would suit a variety of riders - safely plods along on the buckle for a gentle hack but steps it up a level in other areas.Own rider insurance and BHS contract required. A financial contribution to be discussed. Sorry, no under 18’s.We have plenty of videos available on request, and happy to answer any questions. If you are looking for a forward competition horse, she is not this, but if you want a pony you can treat as your own and have some fun with please get in contact. Please message on whatsapp, 07746761514
14hh 6 yr old New Forest gelding available for part loan/share in Shillingstone, Dorset. Kept at home with two others. Hacks alone/in company, no vices/health issues. Currently barefoot in hoof boots for hacking. Fabulous hacking on doorstep. Brilliant with traffic/tractors/pigs etc. No school at home but one to hire within 10 minute hack. Still young so no novices please, can occasionally nap if out on own, but nothing bit of leg doesn't sort. Over 21's only please with own transport and riders insurance. Only costs involved are for farrier, but share of stable duties/poo picking etc expected. Also be happy to help out with holiday cover. Real character who will make you laugh. Possible full loan to move in future if things work out.
I am looking for someone who would enjoy helping me care for my 3 year old 13.1hh New Forest gelding. He is very friendly. He can be cheeky but he is generally polite and does not barge or pull away. He is good to brush, pick up feet etc. Unfortunately my health hasn't been great and I could do with a little help. Maybe you no longer have a horse or wish to ride but miss horses and would like equine contact on a regular but not necessarily rigid set days basis. I am looking for someone who is reliable, kind and patient and who has a little time a few days a week. I think probably a more mature person, over 18. Experience with horses is essential but not necessarily with youngsters. No financials. My pony lives on a lovely yard in Sway. He is stabled at night and turned out during the day in order to manage his waistline. If you're interested, please email with some information about yourself. Thank you.
I am looking for a mature, reliable and confident sharer for my 15hh cob mare.Monday and Thursdays are essential and possibly one extra day available for right person. I am looking for someone who has experience with and understands mares. Ideal sharer will need to be confident and willing to ride out alone and also knowledgeable to school and help continue her education. Must be able to help with all stable and field chores on their days. Most importantly I am looking for someone gentle who will enjoy spending time and getting to know her. A financial contribution will be required. If you are interested send me a text or WhatsApp for more info and some details of your experience. Over 18's only.
Polly is a 23 year old mare whom we have owned and loaned for the last 21 years. She is very experienced pony who excels in all levels - XC. SJ. DS. Gymkhana and games. She is easy to catch, box and shoe, and is up to date with vaccinations, wormers and teeth. We would be looking for her to have either full or part loan from our yard in Kings Somborne, near Romsey and Winchester, where we have all facilities required including a 50m x 30m arena. Our main aim here is to keep Polly fit and active. We’d happily discuss full loan, part loan, or just weekends for example? We need a young person who loves horses and loves riding, who will be a BF for Polly, and perhaps someone who wants to go to the first level of owning their own pony.Polly would come to you with full tack and rugs. We may or may not require a financial contribution depending on the level of care you can offer. She has been on a part loan at our yard for the last 14 months. Previously she was in a competition home for four years, where she competed regularly in unaffiliated showjumping to 85cm, always being placed. Previous loans are happy to provide any references required.Polly has shown herself to be a true confidence giver, hardly ever refusing jumps and always trying hard for her rider. As she is now 23, her ideal rider would be a young person looking to move to their second pony, possibly a pony club member, who wants to jump up to 60cm, hack and generally enjoy this lovely pony. She does need to get fit again though!Polly is great around children and adults and she never kicks or bites. She is excellent in traffic, very confident and not easily spooked. Please email me if you’d like to discuss your requirements as nothing is currently off the table, apart from her not moving her from her current location. She can be seen jumping at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SDF6YTwWTsU and https://youtu.be/NJM450z80D8?si=ZemiVuw6yqRhnBQtMany other videos can be available for a serious enquiry.
