Description

Fernyknap Golden Design

7yo New Forest pony 13.3hh.

Pancake is a quality traditional stamp, with a beautiful movement and a sweet temperament.

Bought 6 months ago as a project. In that time he has done tones of groundwork, long reining, lunging and ride and lead hacking and xc.
He has been backed and I have ridden him both out hacking and in the school. However we had one bad ride which has knocked my confidence. Unfortunately I am on a private yard and very rarely have another pair of hands, which makes riding consistently very tricky and as such he will be sold from field as is not in ridden work currently.

Perfect for farrier, dentist, to load, travel, catch etc. Lives out 24/7 in a gelding herd but will happily stable.

With the right gutsy rider I have no doubt he will be a cracking pony.

Description

Woody.
Very sadly outgrown, 11 yr old 14.2 New Forest Gelding. Born May 2014.
Low mileage for his age with lots of potential for more.

Woods has done all disciplines over the last three years with us and enjoys all of them, through NSEA, fun rides with friends, out hunting, eventing and Pony Club. He is one of those rare, genuine ponies who can do everything to a good standard, regularly coming home in the ribbons.

He’s a clever pony who thrives off learning; his flatwork is constantly improving and we believe he could excel in this area.
Equally he loves his jumping, Woody is fearless XC and really enjoys it, water, ditches, hedges etc not a problem. It’s probably his favourite activity.
Snaffle mouthed for flatwork, hacking and SJ. Universal bit for XC & hunting. Very good in traffic, not phased by farm machinery. Hacks alone or in company in big open spaces.
Woody is very well mannered on the ground and adores his people, he will call out to you and is desperate to please so he needs a family that will really love him and make a fuss of him!
One of the easiest ponies to load and stands quietly at the trailer at competitions. Has travelled in lorries and trailer.

Woody has taken our 16yr old daughter from training at 60cm -100cm.

Hickstead NSEA Champs 2024: 70& 80 Eventers Challenge
NSEA 3DE Champs 2024: Individual 5th in 80 & winner fittest horse in class.
NSEA Addington 80 SJ Champs 2024
Hickstead NSEA Champs 2025: 80 Eventers Challenge

He has had a relatively quiet year due to exams. However he is fit and ready to go - he’s just done a lovely clear round West Wilts 90cm hunter trail.
Has hunted for the last 3 seasons.

He would suit an ambitious child or small adult that wants to go and have a lot of fun. Home is of utmost importance as this is a very hard and sad sale of a much loved pony.
Hundreds of photos and videos available.

Woody is the easiest horse to have around. Good to clip, for the farrier, dentist, physio etc. no vices.
He loves other horses.

Can throw in an excited buck occasionally if feeling fresh cross country.

Tack available at separate negotiation.

£14950

Description

Absolutely gorgeous Welsh A 3yr old filly. 11.2hh. Gracie has the most amazing temperament and is an absolute poppet. She is easy to do in every way, has been shown as a youngster, always on the ribbons.
She has recently started her ridden education, lunged long reined and started sweetly with ny daughter on board proving to be very sensible and loves her work.
This pony will be a child's best friend and is definitely going to be a stat in the show ring if you want something for that.
She is ready to go and carry on, all your basics are done for you, obviously green and needs to carry on her education.

Never sick or sorry. Priced to sell as I need space for the winter.

Description

Beautiful 5 year old 13hh gelding for sale due to being wasted no fault of his own. Ridden by my 8 year old who he is very safe with. Loves to go out hacking is very forward and safe with all traffic and open fields. Can be lazy in the school unless he has someone on him that can push him forward however my daughter isn’t that bothered with just plodding along. He has been driven in his previous home around London and twice with us but yet again do not have the time to do it but he was absolutely brilliant being put in when he hadn’t been in for a year . He has had jabs, teeth , back done and is not due until next year. He has been to cross country a couple of months ago which he really enjoyed!! Brilliant to load and can’t fault him in anyway! Happy to be stabled or left out but does enjoy to come in and have a lay down . He will go a long way with the right rider unfortunately my daughter has lost interest and he is just being wasted . Price includes tack and rugs £3700

I also have a cart and harness for sale which I used on him which can be sold separate .

Farriers Be Fair
7year old
Mare
13.3

Mabel is a forward thinking pony who is always willing to please. Although she is low mileage for her age, she has taken ridden life in her stride and behaved beautifully at the handful of shows she has attended - in the ribbons on every outing so far.

She has 3 nice paces and her flat work is constantly improving. She has seen coloured poles and some fillers, proving very honest into a fence.

Mabel would really excel in a competition home with someone who is looking for a really fun, kind pony. She is a delight on the ground, good to catch, load and shoe.

She is currently only in very occasional work due to commitments to other ponies

Description

Connemara Part Bred beautiful bay mare are 15 years 13.3 hh (would measure 138)

Willing, sensible pony club allrounder excels at local level
Comes with her tack and rugs so would be all ready to take home and enjoy
Affectionate, lovely easy temperament and super ‘model’ of a pony

She has been in the same home for 7 years until we have had her for the summer to have some fun on as she has been genuinely outgrown by three sisters who have now all moved on to horses.

She has hacked alone and with others, good with traffic and cattle/livestock.

She is an uncomplicated ride, not a total first pony as she is fairly forward going but isn’t a buzzy pony, she’s never bucked or reared, she doesn’t jog or get silly, she just doesn’t need constant nagging to go!

That said she’s always ridden in a snaffle and has excellent brakes! She has a very soft mouth and her riders don’t feel out of control or worried. She has been ridden by novice nervous friends and isn’t the scary type! However, the rider best suited to her is one who can already trot and canter and now wants to get out to pony club and local shows and have fun. She would happily take you round the NSEA showjumping and help to get a little person confident and out competing.

Last weekend she had a 1st and a 2nd Arena Eventing with a new rider who borrowed her for competition experience. She’s super chilled in the warm up and doesn’t need hours of working in. Whilst she does have a scope jump she’s not a complete competition type, I would say that courses up to 75cm ish are probably her forte although she’s jumped over 1 metre 20 in chase me Charlie!

She has hunted, been on fun rides, beach rides, and various other things.

She lives in or out, despite being a quality type she happily winters out with rug on. No known health issues, she’s vaccinated and currently shod as we have stony hacking.

Loads and travels in anything! She’s just a lovely pony to be and have around.

Needs a loving new home and smaller rider for her next chapter of adventures. She has stacks of personality and loves her humans and we’re looking for the very best of homes for her.

She comes with her tack and loads of nice Amigo rugs.

£8000 ono
Price is negotiable as we’d like to see her happy and loved in her new home not standing in a cold boring wintery field without the TLC and attention she really does deserve.

Hants/Wilts border with good trial facilities but happy to take to arena hire etc too

Description

Sadly due to situations out of my control I need to rehome our pony.
He is 13,1 Dartmoor X 16 years old.
He is NOT suitable for a child’s 1st or 2nd pony as can have a cheeky spin, buck in him.
He is currently being ridden by an 11 year old who has done funrides, 2Xs camps and showing over the summer.
He is also currently being hunted most weekends and is doing a fun Team chase next weekend.

He has been there done that… but unfortunately due to his little “qurkes” is not suitable for any small child or anyone who would have there confidence knocked if he decided to be cheaky….
There is no malice in his behaviour… he is just a cheeky Pony and if he gets away with it, then he will…

He is happy to live out on his own, or he is happy to live in a herd.
He can be left on his own so would possibly suit being a companion Pony.

He will come with rugs, brand-new saddle and bridal.
Up-to-date with all vaccinations, Physio, teeth, worming and also has Front shoes which were done regularly.

This is a heartbreaking decision that I’ve had to make… so please only message if you are genuinely interested and you feel like you fit the bill for him.
I will not be replying to anybody who is looking for their child, due to the price and the age of the Pony.
He must go to a loving home that will enjoy him for the rest of his life.

Description

Jasmine is a 14hh, 8 year old registered piebald (although appears skewbald).

Jasmine enjoys low key activity, she is safe in the heaviest of traffic and loves hacking alone or in company. Will happily pop a small course of 40-50cm and enjoys x country (has jumped up to 80cm). Prefers calm atmosphere than intense shows.
Is good with mares and geldings in field however can be maresish and I would be cautious around ponies when in a close proximity. Does not buck or rear.
Good with farrier and teeth. Is up to date with jabs, teeth and farrier.
Currently lives out all year round, but has been stabled in previous home fine.

Just for onsite I am 5ft 7 and 12 stone, Jasmine takes up the leg well!

She has been diagnosed with PSSM1 in previous home (happy to talk through this), however we have never had any issues or illness with this, we are cautious with diet and restriction on grass. Respectable of fencing!
She is genuinely a delightful pony to have around and would be great for either a happy hacker or a low level childs pony.

Jasmine will come with all tack, rugs etc

Description

Possibly the next HOYS home bred winner from Brock and Trenley New Forest Ponies.

Registered Bay New Forest Gelding 147cms 7 years old by Hollybrooke Tinker out of Brock Baccarat

Louis has just finished his second show season and this was even more successful than his first where he had great success in novice classes and was also placed in the New Forest Performance Pony Competition. This year he has won the large open ridden at the New Forest and Hampshire County Show and the Junior Ridden Championship at the New Forest Breed Show (beating the overall Ridden Champion) as well as a win at the NPS Summer Champs in a restricted season owing to school commitments. He has also represented Stonar School in both dressage and show jumping qualifying for Hickstead.

He is good to load, travelling happily alone or with others, to clip and with the farrier. He hacks out on the forest alone or in company, has three excellent paces and a super jump, he has not yet competed in WHP owing to the very firm ground this year but he has the scope to go right to the top in this sphere or in flat ridden classes.

He is a full brother to Brock Bronwen, a multiple winning champion in hand and under saddle. Louis is from our best family and is only sadly for sale because his rider has moved onto horses.

He is up to date with vaccinations, dentist and chiropractor.

£15,000

Description

I’ve been putting it off but we need to sell Blaze, I planned to keep him for another year or two when Miyah is bigger/stronger but our circumstances have changed.

12.3hh - registered sec C - 15yo

Not suitable for total novices 1.5 pony at home hacking out and in the arena, straightforward and not spooky, will hack first or last jumped 60cm but more than capable of going bigger, he was my daughters first proper ‘off lead rein pony’ however NOT suitable for small child to PC/compete/take out in the trailer regularly, he would do well with an older child/teen/adult that would like to do some low level stuff. If we weren’t an active PC home or my daughter were older he would not be going anywhere he is a cracking pony, we have done a fair bit with him and he has done pretty much everything with us but over time he has proven too much/excitable for my daughter to contain- he has learnt that she is a little weed on him. We have had older riders on him at events and outings and he is like a different pony to when my daughter rides him out and about.

Please do not enquire if you have a young child wanting to go out and about regularly as he will not be suitable and I will not sell him for this purpose. He has hunted in his previous home.

Lovely boy to have around and on the ground which makes this incredibly difficult.

Low to mid four figures
Hundreds of photos and videos available
One previous owner who might like to keep in touch.

Bailey is a nice stamp of a pony. Bailey was broken back in April but due to circumstances we just haven't had the time to do anything with him. So he wouldn't take a lot of work and you could put your own stamp on him.
Can be turned out 24/7 or stabled. He is a good doer. He will need company when in the field. Has NEVER been laminetic. Up to date with vaccinations, worming and teeth. Good with the farrier, dogs, pushchairs and children. Has never kicked or bitten, the small little nibble. Can be turned out in a herd but currently turned out with a 14.2 Connie.

This guy… is ready to go… Woottonheath Oreo.

14.2hh, 5 years. PSSM tested neg. Forest-bred. Green passport.

https://youtu.be/wJt84ZzLuOc?si=HsV47c2UQ7oNRsm0

I am a Natural Horsemanship instructor, trainer and teach Rider Confidence clinics. I've taken 2 months + to start this lovely pony and taken plenty of time to get all the basics right and solid. He is now ready to go into whatever career comes next: Pony Club, Happy Hacking, Western or whatever.

He is super friendly, quiet, calm, responsive and loves to be cuddled, fussed and very much a people-based pony!

He's now hacking out nicely in company first or last on the forest. We ride about 7 miles most evenings and with capable children along so he's used to total chaos of kids cantering off randomly and jumping logs willy nilly around him.

He's starting to hack on his own. He's well balanced, sure footed, and as a forest-bred pony is super chilled on the open heath and forest, and in full Beaulieu tourist traffic.

He's happy to walk, trot, canter, gallop, back-up, some laterals, and jumps little SJ's, and logs / ditches on the forest. He marches thru puddles and streams. Is good w all traffic incl motorbikes, buses etc. He ride/lead's and lead's/ride's either way around. Loads nicely.

He's well desensitised to weird human life, umbrellas, flags, flappy stuff. My dog comes out on every ride w us and he lives on a pheasant shoot. And best of all - I taught him a useful mounting block pickup trick which is super useful!

Teeth, vaccs, wormed, feet all up to date. Fit and ready to go.

First to see will buy. Hopefully he'll go locally and I'd like to stay in touch in the future. I know his full life history and previous owners well too.

I'm happy to provide references to other lovely and now local ponies I've sold in the last few years - www.coachandhorses.uk or Horse Sense Rachel Parsons on FB.

Priced to go. £7500 and the price is likely to go up as we do fun rides, hunt and he starts to go to Pony Club rallies.

Based near Brockenhurst. New Forest.

Description

We are selling our wonderful pony Bramble because my daughter has sadly outgrown her.
She’s a 13.3hh New Forest mare who is a great schoolmistress and who loves life. She is 19yo and enjoys XC, SJ and hacking best but willingly schools on the flat as well. She was my daughter’s second pony when she was 10yo and would suit a child who wants to jump 60/70 and have fun. She can go up and down the gears depending upon who is riding her. We have done clinics, PC SJ and ODE champs at 70 and NSEA SJ champs at 70 this summer.
She is brilliant to handle, shoe, box, clip and not spooky. She hunted once with us and was great and she loves the beach. She is a superstar and deserves a 5* home that will cherish her. She needs her hocks medicating now so we want her to go to a knowledgeable home with a smaller rider. She still has lots to teach someone. I am in touch with her previous owners and am happy to give full vet history. £3K-£3.5K. Please message 07775802746 for more details pictures and videos.

Description

Sadly looking for a new home as his jockey moves on to a bigger horse and is ready to teach his new jockey. Forward going pony but not strong and won’t bolt.
Owned for the past 2 and a half years and before had been to Hoys twice.

Jack is the perfect all rounder and loves his jumping, he’s jumped up to 80cm unaffiliated showjumping, jumped 1.10m at home, been to an ode at 80cm.
He schools well on the flat with three lovely gaits. He loves his job and will give anything a go.

Hacks alone but is better with company as might get a bit worried. Will be forward hacking but not strong.

Jack takes confidence from his rider but will take a small child for a trot around the school.

Has a huge personality on the ground and will stand to be groomed all day with his head stuffed in a hay net.
Needs a confident leader since being a typical pony he can and will pull for grass, once he has been told he wont try again but will take the mick if he gets away with it.

Never reared or bolted. Good to travel and load.

Will suit a home who goes out and about often and is impeccably behaved when out.

Was past in a riding school and took his current rider fresh out of riding school, then moving for their sole use which has improved him on more.

We would require first refusal if he was to come up for sale again or the opportunity for him to return to us for retirement when the time comes. As well as keeping in contact.

Description

This is an extremely sad sale, one weren’t expecting to do for a couple more years. We have owned Rocky since February 2024, Rocky was purchased for our granddaughter who at the time was coming off 11.2 section A. Sadly our granddaughter has grown quickly in the last year and now wants something bigger that will take her forward for the next 3/4 years.

Rocky is the most kindest pony and since owning him he hasn’t put a foot wrong. He is good in groups and is not fast or fizzy. Rocky is any parent’s ideal dream pony.

Rocky is 9 years old and prior to us owning had been a companion pony during COVID with his previous owner. We were also advised by previous owner he was gelded late.

Rocky will hack, he’s done dressage & Pony club. This summer he did pony club camp where they did jumping and XC training & flat work. Our granddaughter also has weekly lessons. Rocky has given our granddaughter the confidence to jump round a 30cm class off lead rein and also 40/50 where its timed. We are regular visitors to GW Equine which is where our granddaughter has gained her confidence from. He has also been jumping to competitions at Wood Farm & Croton, and comes home with frillies. I am sure he will go further with his new jockey.

I believe that Rocky would suitable for lead rein or a child who is coming off lead rein and wants to be more independent without the worry that he is too fizzy or fast. He is any parent’s dream pony.

Rocky is up to date with his jabs, due March 26, barefoot and has regular trims with our farrier. When he first came to us he was a bit unsure about loading but we’ve done a lot of work with him and he loads in a 3.5t.

Rocky lives out overnight in the Summer, we stable him in Winter. He goes out in a herd with other geldings.

Please no time wasters as this is a difficult sale.

10* home is needed for this pony, homes will be vetted

Rocky will come with saddle, bridle and full wardrobe of rugs.

Never sick or sorry.

£6,000. ono.

Open to vetting.

Based Fair Oak Southampton.

I work from home so please if I don’t answer leave me a message and I will get back to you.

❤️ Carltonlima Valentine ❤️
AKA Minnie

CHAPS passported 13/13.1hh 7yo Pretty piebald cob mare
A fantastic proven kids pony!

For those who missed out on Rolo, we still have this little lady who is exactly the same but slightly bigger and been out on more adventures!

The short of it
✅ schools
✅ jumps
✅ hacks (alone and in company)
✅ ridden by all ages & abilities
✅ clips
✅ dentist
✅ farrier (barefoot)
✅ bath
✅ load
✅ no lumps, bumps or health issues
✅ Turnout alone or with others (mares or geldings)
✅ Dressage
✅ Cross country
✅ School hires
✅ Showing inhand & ridden
✅ 1st beach ride

On the ground and handling:
Minnie is the cutest, sweetest little mare. She isn’t mareish in anyway, shape or form, even when in season. You couldn’t get more easy going if you tried. You can trust her with the smallest of children to be around, she’s careful and loving with manners to die for. She is good to bath, load, clip, for farrier, vet etc. Not a single lump bump or health issues. No nasties hiding under the feather. She is up to date with vaccinations and teeth and she is barefoot with sturdy feet. Turns out alone or in a mixed herd. Can live out or be stabled, she’s in no set routine so she isn’t fussed about change.

Ridden:
Ridden wise Minnie is super! She’s got 3 floaty free moving paces with a natural head carriage and can work into the contact in all 3 paces with a capable rider. Alternatively she will pootle around with a little jockey bouncing around on board. She knows how to step up and down to meet her riders needs. She’s always snaffle mouthed.
To jump Minnie is bold and brave and never says no. She’s happy to jump off of the dodgiest angles and strides. She will always try to save her jockeys butt even if it means clipping a pole. She has been cross country once (it was her first ride away from home) and she was fantastic! Jumping logs, ditches, steps, owl holes, through water. She would be fantastic out on the hunt field! She has no ridden vices, she has never bucked, reared or bolted.
She hacks alone or in company, first or last. She can be left behind whilst others canter off and not get her nickers in a twist. She’ll just continue to plod along. She’s seen all traffic, cars, trucks, cyclists, scooters, dogs, machinery, quad bikes etc and completely unfazed. You can lead her from another pony or lead another pony from her. Or even lead her from a bike so perfect for mother daughter hacking. She’s been to the beach where she was super, albeit not a fan of seaweed🙈😂

Minnie really is the perfect family pony, the boys have had so much fun with her but she is ready to go find her own forever family🖤

Description

Fun 13hh grey cob for loan.
9yrs old.

Flo has done a lot in her 9 years and we have decided / been shown by her, that her best skills are hacking and lead rein. Due to having been in a riding school (when she was 6 before we got her), she can get school sour if not on the lead rein, and will drop a shoulder, or do a buck to try and unbalance her rider and to get out of working. This is why we say she is not suitable off lead rein in a school unless an adult or a gutsy kid who can take the rough with the smooth is riding. She is well schooled (we have paid for adult instructors to continue to school her and of course they can handle her antics or sit her tricks nb she has a weight limit up to 10 stone). She loves jumping, but off lead rein can be unpredictable in her antics so want to make this very clear. She’s taught my daughter a lot, and we all adore her. She always has a home with us, but we can’t bear for her to be wasted in a field.

Hacking she is a saint, and I have put many novices on her. She is not 100% perfect as no horse is, and has had a excited little kick out in canter on the forest but it was sat by my then 9 year old no bother, it was excitement not malice. She has spent the spring and summer at a hacking centre in the forest.

A bit more about flo, she has done lots of pony club, but flatwork isn’t her preferred thing but SJ and XC she loves!! She is pretty keen on PPC too.
Snaffle mouthed, will load on a trailer or lorry. Excellent manners on the ground and was used in a riding school with children doing all groundwork. We have also taken her to a nursery and had children paint her and paint their hands and then cover her.

Good to clip (child can do, but she needs sedating for her feathers to be cut). Great for farrier, has bare feet. No health issues or history of laminitis, good diet.

Lives in or out and can be in a mixed herd as she is excellent at mixing with others, hacks alone and in company, goes first or last.

Up to date with all vaccinations and teeth.

Please contact for more info.
Happy for her to stay at our yard or move yards, but within Hampshire, Wiltshire or Dorset or 60 mins of Salisbury.

Flo is a very much loved, fun, but quirky pony.
