Whilst preparing to move the site to the new server at the end of the month & it became apparent that our existing event calendar will not run on the new server without expensive modifications. It’s not written off, just not viable before the server is changed.

It has been replaced with a third party calendar run by Tockify, as it is no longer hosted on our own server it saves a lot of hassle, although there is a monthly fee.

The calendar is now fully installed on the site & all events have been manually copied over.

If you have any events in the diary, please ignore the links you have been sent & check for errors. Copying everything over was a huge job & although I have double checked, mistakes are easily missed.

The new calendar does have a different look & extra options.

You can search, view tags, monthly & agenda options. When you use the monthly view, each event can be selected separately, which is an improvement.

The map doesn't show until you click on the map link, then it opens in a new window.

Each event can be shared or added to your personal diary, which is a useful addition.
The forthcoming events on the homepage, has been replaced with a mini calendar. I'm not sure how I will deal with the forthcoming events on the newsletter yet.

The Help, FAQs & drop down menus are still to be updated, but this may wait until the server migration?
