NFED Help & Frequently Asked Questions

My Horse is Free; Why do I have to pay for my advert?

All horse & pony offered ads are subject to the standard fee regardless of the animal value or asking price, this is clearly stated in the guidelines. We do not charge commission based on the selling price, so the value is completely irrelevant.

We have learnt by experience that allowing free adverts for equines will attract dishonest advertisers. Other animals are often older or have issues which can lead to complaints which all have to be responded to, thus creating far more work than other ads.

Obviously, we do understand that anyone trying to rehome or give a horse away may see this as unfair, but we strive to provide an efficient & popular service which takes a great deal of time, effort & money to achieve. To ensure viewers are not distracted, the site is completely clear of third-party advertising, so the advert charges are necessary to keep the site running as viable business, but are kept as low as possible: (£8.99 for 180 days is less than 5p per day).

If you are not happy to pay, you are welcome to view the wanted adverts or why not charge the advert price for the animal.
