To protect our advertisers from spam and fraudulent enquiries, we require the sender’s genuine IP address. For this reason, the Classifieds enquiry form will not load if you are using a proxy server, a VPN, or attempting to send an enquiry from outside the UK.

IP addresses are validated using ProxyCheck & enquiries sent through our system are monitored for suspicious activity.

All VPNs including: Avast, Norton, McAfee or iCloud Private Relay & Proxy servers which are used to hide visitor's actual IP addresses & favoured by fraudsters are blocked.

Non UK countries have restricted access, as the site is intended to connect the central southern UK. If you are an advertiser or regular user & travelling abroad, please make arrangements for someone to monitor the site before leaving as you will not be able to access the site outside of the UK.

If you are in the UK & have any problems accessing the NFED, please switch off your VPN & use a direct connection to show your true IP address. If you still have problems, please request a review of your IP address. Click Here. If necessary it will be added to a safe list to allow normal access.

Using this system has significantly reduced the number of scam enquiries from overseas users attempting to appear as though they are in the UK by using VPNs. On rare occasions, genuine users may be blocked, but as long as they are within the UK this can be quickly resolved — and the added protection is well worth the small cost of the service.

Canvassing & Breaking Site Rules
Anyone found to be ignoring terms of use, breaking site rules, spamming, canvassing advertisers for business or causing problems will blacklisted & therefore unable to access the site. No warnings are given as the terms of use have been accepted on entering the site.

If you find yourself blocked, please read the site Terms of Use then wait 7 days before trying to access the site again. Repeat offences will result in a longer or permanent block.
