Dora does also have a small sarcoid on her tummy which doesn’t affect her or tack. Her price is reflected in this.

Gorgeous 15.1hh/15.2hh TB X 10 year old mare, ex polo pony. Since polo, she has been used as a happy hacker in the New Forest. She is sensible, good in open spaces and never silly or strong. Rio is 15 hands, buckskin and 5 years old (DOB 01/05/2020). He was bred in Spain, imported as a foal and registered with BAPSH as a PRE Fusion Horse. I have owned him for 1.5 years. I wanted to give him time to physically mature so I have brought him on slowly using positive reinforcement (clicker training) and groundwork. He was started under saddle over the winter. He happily accepted a rider and takes himself to the mounting block and stands patiently. Our groundwork has easily transferred to ridden work and he will move his forelimbs or hindlimbs laterally when asked. He is very intelligent and trainable. We have only recently introduced trot work so he's not yet working in an outline. He will need someone experienced with young horses to continue his education.

Rio has a lovely temperament and gives the best cuddles. He has mainly lived out here but also loves spending time in his stable. He doesn't mind when he is left on his own and isn't silly in the field just because one of the other horses is having a crazy moment. He is good to handle, with no vices and comes to call in the field. He's good having his feet trimmed and is up to date with worming, vaccinations and dentist. He has had one routine physio treatment and the physiotherapist was very admiring of his conformation and movement. His field is next to a road on one side and a busy track on another so he is used to tractors, lorries, riders, bikes and pedestrians going past. He passed a two stage vetting in Sep 2023 and has no medical issues or lumps and bumps. He has only seen the vet for a problem with mites but this has been resolved.

Although Rio is a pretty chilled chap (and lets me flap things over him and bang things), he is very attentive to things that are going on in the wider environment. When ridden, he can be nervous when its windy and be distracted when the other horses move around in their fields, or some pigeons take off for example. He might stop and look but he has occasionally trotted (or a couple of times cantered - which felt amazing!) from one end of the school and stopped at the other end. He hasn't bucked or reared or zoomed around (I hope this doesn't tempt fate!). However, I'm approaching 50 and I'm finding myself a little nervous at the prospect of doing all the first things with him and so I have only ridden him in the school. I have made the difficult decision to see if there is someone who can offer him a lovely home and then I would plan to find another Rio but a little older and more established.

I am looking for a new home for this beautiful 9yr boy. He had a fall over Chase fences Feb 2024. He has been recuperating since and has been retrained for hacking. He is a quick learner and would make an experienced teenager/mum/dad a super horse. He is good to shoe, teeth, clip, catch and generally look after and no stable vices. Extremely nice in the box and loves attention. Unfortunately his jumping is restricted but a fun ride or similar should be fine. Works nice on the flat with three nice paces resulting in him possibly succeeding in a dressage career with further training. He is ROR eligible. 16.2hh, 10 (rising 11) year-old TB gelding. Originally raced over jumps before retiring as an 8-year-old. He spent his first year out having some downtime after he sustained a tendon injury in his last run. He was fully rehabbed and has been in full work since, enjoying a range of activities including dressage, fun rides, XC schooling and hacking.
