The Caspian Horse thought to once have been extinct is an endangered breed and relatively rare in the UK.

They make the perfect riding horse for a child, excelling at jumping and driving and are very different in nature to your typical pony of the same height. They are sensible with horses heads on their shoulders.

Their gait is long and as such can keep up with a big horse on a leading rein. They don't snatch for grass and are willing and excel in most disciplines that they lend their hoof to.

Adults enjoy the company of these beautiful horses too with a few competing at top level as scurry horses or International Equine Agility. Perfect for someone who's retired maybe who no longer rides but still wants to compete, whilst providing a horse to ride for the grandchildren...

Latima has been used in Equine Assisted Therapy for some years and ridden by a few children. She sensible and dependable as a lead rein mount.

Bought from his breeder as a two-year-old, he has been beautifully produced and is both friendly and well-mannered.

Lexi is sadly for sale due to a change of personal circumstances. Lexi is a fully vaccinated 5 year old, 14’3hh, piebald cob mare and is still very green. She needs a well educated forever home with people confident on the ground and experienced enough to ride a young horse. She can be a little mare-ish around her back end but she is super cuddly otherwise and utterly devoted to me. She is a bit of a one person pony but she's very good for the farrier (barefoot), dentist, helpers and vet etc. She loves my small children paying her attention over the fence and stable door! She did her first hack in the Autumn where she had her first experience with cars, trailers, other horses going past and she didn't put a foot wrong. She travels and loads well in my trailer. She lives in a mixed herd and is definitely the queen! She has lived out 24/7 but this year she wintered in, with daily turnout, due to the ground conditions. She is so eager to please and is coming on in leaps and bounds even though she had a bad start in life. I bought her full of worms, from a flooded field on her own, with inexperienced owners who has sent her away to be backed at 2.5yrs. I’ve spent the past 2 years helping her remember that she can trust people and enjoy life. She's had lots of ground work using long reins, some lunging, ridden schooling and her first hack. I have just started her ridden work again after giving her the winter off but I don't have the time to put into her now, so her training is a few days a week at most. She has been an angel while I have been bringing her back into work, I will start hacking her again soon when time permits. I am looking for someone who will continue to bring her on, slowly building up her strength, fitness and confidence with a sympathetic approach. She may not warm to new people immediately but she is so rewarding and becomes devoted to the extreme. Her new home needs to be where she can be part of a herd. Our beautiful Maisie has had a litter of 7 healthy puppies on 28/4/24. Maisie is a 3 year old family pet coming from a show line in Durham. She is on the small side for a Whippet, I'm not sure of her measurements but you are welcome to measure her at viewing. She naturally has a very low prey drive for a Whippet and has really good recall with little training. She is very gentle with children and gets very excited meeting new people. We have had this pony for 2 years having bought him with the intention he would be a lead rein pony for my 6 year old granddaughter. Unfortunately he is simply too strong on the lead rein and is therefore not suitable as a lead rein pony or a first ridden.
We have recently introduced him to more fun activities and he is proving to enjoy these.
He would make a great second pony for a confident and competent child or light weight adult. As he is not suitable for my granddaughter, lightweight adults have been riding him for this advert and have said what a fun pony he is. He doesn’t buck, rear or nap when ridden. He enjoys being ridden and kept busy. With time this talented pony will turn his hand to any activity (Dressage, jumping, games, hacking) but he is by no means ready made. Always ridden in a snaffle.
