Modifying or Editing Adverts

Important Information

Advertisers may modify their adverts at any time without additional charges. This facility is provided solely for updating titles, descriptions, contact details, preferences, and photos. All modifications must comply with the Rules & Guidelines.

Non‑Transferable Adverts

All adverts are strictly non‑transferable. Once approved, an advert applies only to the specific animal(s) or item(s) originally submitted. Advertisers must not replace, exchange, or add animals or items after approval.

Permitted Modifications

  • Editing titles or descriptions.
  • Updating contact information or preferences.
  • Adding, removing, or replacing photos.
  • Improving clarity or presentation.

Prohibited Modifications

  • Changing the advert to a different animal or item.
  • Adding additional animals or items.
  • Any modification that breaches the Rules & Guidelines.

Enforcement

  • Adverts that breach the Rules & Guidelines may be removed without notice.
  • No refunds will be issued for adverts suspended or removed for these reasons.
  • Abuse of the modification system or attempts to circumvent these rules may result in permanent blacklisting and removal of all existing adverts.

How to Modify or Delete Your Advert

To access your advert controls, open your advert and click Edit Ad in the bottom left corner. Your Advert Details Email also contains a direct link to the Advert Control Panel.

You will see four options:

  1. Edit – Modify advert text or upload new photos. If the item is sold or no longer required, please delete the advert.
  2. Delete – Permanently remove the advert.
  3. Renew – Replace the advert so it returns to the top of the list.
  4. Pay – If payment is still required, this adds the advert to your shopping cart.

 

1. Editing an Advert

Enter your password (case sensitive) in the Edit Ad section and click Go>>.
If the advert is live but cannot be found, the password is incorrect.

Passwords are case sensitive and must be entered exactly as originally submitted, including any spaces. Your password is in your Advert Details Email. If you no longer have it, use the Recover Password link to receive it again.

Making Changes

Once logged in, scroll down to the modification form beneath your advert. Your current details will already be filled in—simply update the fields you wish to change.

You may update:

  • Advertiser/contact details
  • Advert heading
  • Advert text
  • Photographs (new uploads replace existing photos)

You cannot change the advert category. If the category is incorrect, please contact the administrator.

All modifications must follow the Rules & Guidelines. Adverts remain non‑transferable; animals or items cannot be replaced, exchanged, or added after approval.

Click Save Changes to submit your updates. A confirmation page will appear if the modification was successful.

Additional Notes

  • Changes go live immediately. To prevent abuse, the administrator is notified whenever an advert is modified.
  • If the item is sold or no longer available, please delete the advert. Adverts marked as sold or clearly outdated will be removed.
  • Modifying an advert does not move it back to the top of the list. To do this, the advert must be replaced.
  • Featured adverts are snapshots taken at the time of approval. Modifying your advert does not update the featured version.

 

2. Deleting an Advert

Enter your password in the Delete Ad section and click Go>>.
If the advert is live but cannot be found, the password is incorrect.

Once logged in, scroll down to the red delete button beneath the advert and click it to permanently remove the advert from the database.

 

3. Renewing an Advert

Select Renew to add the advert to your shopping cart, then checkout as normal.

A new advert will be posted for you (please allow up to 24 hours). All details, photos, and your password will remain the same. The advert will receive a new number, return to the top of the list, and may be featured again if suitable.

 

4. Paying for an Advert

If your advert is awaiting payment, select Pay for to add it to your shopping cart and checkout as normal.

Your advert will be checked and approved by the administrator (please allow up to 24 hours).
If the advert has expired, a new advert will be posted for you with all details, photos, and your password unchanged.
