If you’re reading this, you may be feeling frustrated that your advert hasn’t been approved. That’s completely understandable. Before getting in touch, please take a moment to look through the common reasons below.

When submitting an advert, you must tick a box confirming that you’ve read and accepted our Guidelines, Rules & Prices. Everything outlined here is included in those terms.

We receive a large number of submissions every day. Most are genuine, but some are test ads, duplicates, unpaid listings, missing essential details, or posted by users who later change their minds. Adverts that don’t meet our criteria are rejected.

Prices are optional for paid adverts, but free listings must include a price. For adverts with multiple items, the total amount or the quantity available must also be stated, as this determines whether the listing qualifies as a free advert. If either the price or quantity is missing, or the advert states that additional unlisted items are available, the advert will not be approved as a free listing and will require payment regardless of the item’s value.

If your advert hasn’t been approved after 24 hours, please log in to check the details and update anything that needs attention. To keep the system running smoothly, adverts that remain unpaid or unapproved are automatically deleted after two days.

To maintain quality and ensure that only genuine listings appear on the site, only paid adverts and qualifying free adverts will be approved.

• The accepted Rules & Guidelines must be followed.
• Please allow up to 24 hours for advert approvals.
• If the advert requires payment, the transaction/order must be completed.
• Only qualifying free ads are approved, see below for common problems.
• Unapproved/unpaid ads are removed after two days.

Paid Ads £8.99

The following ads do require payment:

• Horse or Pony regardless of value - Offered or Wanted
• Horse or Pony for share, loan or riding - Offered or Wanted
• Liveries, Grazing or Property for sale or rent - Offered or Wanted
• Lorries, Trailers & Vehicles - Offered or Wanted
• Single offered item with asking or guide price of £175 or more
• Multiple items with total asking or guide price of £175 or more
• Livestock, pet, poultry or waterfowl regardless of value - Offered or Wanted
• Offered item or lot not displaying an asking or guide price
• Repeat advert under two months old or exceeding usage limits See Guideline 10.
• Trade advert without a Standard Directory Listing - Offered or Wanted See Guideline 27.
• Free ads can be upgraded & featured by paying the standard fee.

Shopping Cart Payments must be completed.

PayPal Express: After logging in to PayPal you will see a page containing your details. You must click on the Complete Order button to process the payment. If the payment is successful you will be transferred to the Transaction Complete page & receive Email confirmation of your order.

Card Payments: You will be taken to Card Processor to enter your payment details.

Please ensure that all details are entered correctly or the payment will fail bank fraud checks. The connection will be closed if the transaction is not completed within 15 minutes.

If the payment is successful you will be transferred to the Transaction Complete page & receive Email confirmation of your order. Payments will be shown in your bank or PayPal account as CK Art-NFED.

The advert will be approved on the next site update after the order is completed. Please allow 24 hours.

If the transaction fails or is not completed, the advert will remain unpaid & unapproved. No reminders are sent.

Direct Payments (No Shopping Cart)

If payment was made directly without using the shopping cart, please let us know by Email: editor@nfed.co.uk or WhatsApp: 07385 848504 (messages only – no calls or texts). We will then confirm receipt and process your order.

Unpaid/unapproved adverts are removed after two days.

Don't worry, you do not have to start again! If payment is received after the advert has been removed, we will post an identical replacement advert for you. To pay, either follow the link in your Advert Details Email or Click Here

If you choose to pay by Bank transfer or Cheque, you will need to manually complete the bank transfer or send the cheque. Bank transfer payments must be confirmed & cheques must be cleared before the advert is approved.

Free Advert Policy – Low‑Value Items

Low‑value equestrian, agricultural, small‑holding, and countryside‑related items with a clearly stated asking price (or total for multiple items) of £174.99 or less may be approved free of charge, provided they fully qualify and strictly exclude animals. All approvals are entirely at the administrator’s discretion. We do not accept adverts for off‑topic items under any circumstances.

Free adverts use exactly the same system and resources as paid adverts. They still generate server load, administration time, moderation work and support enquiries.

Because free ads contribute nothing towards the considerable running costs, they must meet the qualification criteria. If an advert does not clearly qualify, the standard payment will be required before it can be approved. If there is any doubt, the advert will not be approved as free.

We understand the rules may seem a little complicated, but they allow us to continue offering a genuine free option for low‑value items without needing to build a separate system — something that would be expensive and offer no return. The alternative would be to charge for all adverts, which we want to avoid. All we ask is that you take a moment to read the rules and follow them, so we can keep the free option available for everyone.

To qualify as a free advert:

Advertiser Details
To combat fraud, we require the advertiser’s name, location, Email & phone number.

Descriptions. 
A description of EVERY item offered must be included within the advert text or heading. "Various items", "ask for details", "others available", "see photos" or similar will disqualify it as a free ad.

Prices
An asking price of no more than £174.99 must be included in the advert text for EVERY item, without exception and regardless of the obvious value.

No Asking or Guide Price = No Free Ad

If asking for offers, a guide price must be included in the advert text.
If giving away for free, this must be clearly stated in the advert text.
Prices or descriptions shown in photographs are not recognised or accepted. 
The price paid or asked elsewhere will not be accepted, only your asking price is acceptable. 

Multiple Items
If an advert contains more than one item, it will not qualify as a free advert if any of the following apply:

• any item is unpriced
• any item is over £174.99
• the total combined value exceeds £174.99
• any item would normally require payment under the standard rules
• the amount available is not included
• additional unlisted items are available

Wanted Ads.

The following wanted ads DO NOT qualify as free ads.

• Horse/Pony/Animal - Wanted
• Horse/Pony for share, loan or riding - Wanted
• Livestock, pets, poultry or waterfowl - Wanted
• Liveries, grazing or property wanted to buy or rent
• Lorries, Trailers & Vehicles - Wanted

Free Ad Quota Limits, Replacements & Repeat Ads. 
The same items or similar advert must not have been submitted within the last two months.
The advertiser must not have submitted more than 15 free adverts in 30 days.
The advertiser must not have more than 30 free adverts online at any time.

Swaps or exchange 
Swaps are classed as offered, not wanted ads and subject to the standard terms and pricing.

Trade or Dealer Advertising
Trade adverts (including wanted) are not eligible as free ads unless the advertiser has a current Standard Listing in the directory. See below.

Adverts not qualifying as free ads will not be approved until payment has been received. If your advert has not been approved after 24 hours, please log in & modify it if necessary. Ensure that it follows guidelines, all required information has been provided including an asking price. Not including the price is the most common reason for failed free ads.

Unapproved adverts are removed after two days.
To keep the system manageable, unapproved ads are removed after two days. If the advert has been removed, you will need to start again with a new advert ensuring that the guidelines are followed so that it qualifies as a free ad, or pay for the ad & a replacement will be posted for you.

Further Help & Tips

Off Topic Items
To focus on the intended equestrian and countryside adverts, we no longer accept miscellaneous or off topic adverts which include general household items or furniture. 

Livestock, Pets & Poultry
All livestock (offered or wanted) including small animals, pets, poultry or waterfowl (inc' hatching eggs) are excluded from the free ads offer, regardless of type, breed or value. 

Multiple Items.
When possible, please post a single advert, listing & pricing each individual item if selling separately.
Multiple items will be treated as a single item, therefore the total price or amout available must be clearly shown & no more than £174.99 to qualify as a free ad. 

Trade or Business Ads
Any adverts offering goods, supplied, produced/bred/sourced to order/commission, or offering multiple new items or options such as a range of sizes or colours, regardless of value, either on the NFED or elsewhere, will be treated as trade and therefore not eligible as free ads without a current Standard Directory listing.

A Standard Directory Listing will allow small trade items up to £174.99 to be advertised in the classifieds free of charge. Livery spaces are included for yards with a listing in the Livery category of the directory. Any ads will be subject to the Free Ads rules, limits & conditions. 
We DO NOT provide free ads (offered or wanted) for Livestock, pets or poultry (inc' hatching eggs), regardless of type, breed or value. We DO NOT accept adverts for off topic items. As with all free ads, they must be posted by the advertiser & will not be featured. Paying for the ad will upgrade & feature the advert.  

Hay, Haylage & Straw Sales
We understand that many people make their own hay or haylage & wish to sale the surplus. Providing the amount available is clearly stated & the total price does not exceed £174.99, the advert may be classed as a private sale & approved without payment at the administrator’s discretion. 

The amount permitted as a free ad will depend on the asking price, for example: £5 per bale max 34 bales (Total £170), £4 per bale max 43 bales (Total £172). If the total exceeds £174.99 or no amount is shown to allow the total to be calculated, the advert will require payment. 

Hay, Haylage & Straw being regularly advertised on the NFED or elsewhere, offering delivery or different choices will be classed as trade. Trade adverts will only be approved without payment if the advertiser has a current Standard Directory listing in the Hay Straw & Bedding category.

Service Offered
We DO NOT allow any services to be advertised in the Classifieds, but do have a fully featured Service Directory. Please Click Here to see how to use the NFED to advertise your services.

Employment Wanted
We DO NOT allow employment, job or work experience wanted ads including work offered in return for riding or accommodation. 

Websites
Adverts for websites or social networking groups will not be approved. 

Franchises
Adverts for franchises, telesales, ad posting or similar home working schemes will not be approved. 

Events
Events (including tack, yard, garage sales) are not permitted in the NFED Classifieds. The NFED Event Diary is provided to advertise events. Click Here to submit details.

Notices or Questions
The classifieds are for buying and selling adverts only. General questions, news, appeals, requests, messages, notices, advice or recommendations are not accepted. 

News
We do not allow news to be posted in the classifieds, but News articles be emailed for inclusion on the news page. A current standard listing is required for business news articles.

Manure and Muck Heaps 
As this is an equestrian site, we can be pretty confident that the majority or our users have enough manure, so adverts are not permitted. If you would like a muck heap removed, please look in the Services Directory for an Agricultural Contractor.

Availability
NFED users rightly expect the item to be available & to be able to make enquiries or offers through the NFED without being redirected to a different website for further information or to bid. Including links or sending viewers to items advertised on other websites is not permitted.

Safety Issue
We support the work of the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre www.ceop.gov.uk.
Any advert that the administrator considers may put the advertiser at risk, will be rejected without notice.  

Competition
We do want to provide a free service for low value ads, but this does rely entirely on sufficient paid ads to keep the business viable. Therefore, anyone involved with, promoting, canvassing, administrating a website, social media group or page offering a similar service, allowing advertising or in competition with the NFED is not eligible for free advertising.

Blocked Advertisers
We aim to provide a high‑quality service, including free access to our resources for genuine advertisers. The system relies on honesty and fair use, and while most people respect that, it can be open to abuse.

Any adverts submitted by individuals—or anyone connected to them—who are found to be cheating the system, breaching contracts, using multiple identities, acting dishonestly, canvassing, repeatedly ignoring guidelines, being abusive, wasting our time or our users’ time, or causing problems in any way will be rejected without notice.

CKArt‑NFED reserves the right to decide which adverts or advertisers are in violation of these rules. If you are prepared to cheat us or our users, we do not need your custom and politely suggest you advertise elsewhere.

Adverts will not be accepted from advertisers who are under investigation or who have unresolved complaints against them. The administrator’s decision is final. We also reserve the right to refuse adverts without explanation, particularly where doing so may affect an ongoing police or Trading Standards investigation
