**SHARER WANTED**Alton/beech/ gu34
**please share**

Must be able to ride competently in walk, trot and canter, and be able to be unsupervised for tacking up,schooling & hacking, as this is what Mercedes loves. I have had some viewings where people cannot ride at all, so no time wasters please

I am looking for a part time sharer for my 10 year old 14.1hh heavy weight traditional gypsy cob mare Mercedes, she is a weight carrier (max weight 14 stone)

She is good to handle on foot and will stand all day being fussed and groomed, she has a huge mane and feathers(which are staying).she can get excited sometimes being led to and from the field, but is not strong.i lead with a dually or a bridle if I need to as shes a bit attached to her field mates, but most of the time fine in a normal head collar.

She is barefoot with good solid feet.only thing I've found is that she now doesn't like being clipped due to a bad experience with blunt blades,so she would need sedation if this is ever required.

Mercedes is a brilliant horse to ride and really looks after her riders hacking, she can do very basic schooling in all 3 paces, but has mainly been hacked alone and in company by me the past 2.5 years, so very green school wise.
she was previously a travellers driving cob/ broodmare. she is good in all traffic inc double deckers, lorries and tractors, and through the a31 underpass.there is a school where she is and direct access to off road hacking.if you wanted to put the work in and school her up she would win ridden cob or coloured showings she has excelled in hand last year going to the sunshine tour and being placed in both huge classes.she will look at things out hacking like birds, squirrels and drains, but never spins, bucks, rears or bolts.
If you want to go fast everywhere she isn't for you, and she's not really built for jumping or fast work, but manages tiny cross poles

She is very safe and has been ridden by my daughter from age 8, she is now 11. although she is NOT for a complete novice (as all horses spook on the odd ocassion) and she gets confidence from her rider, so needs someone balanced and firm. She would suit someone that is a confident novice or above

Ideally looking for a sharer that would like a horse to pamper and ride during week days ( not fridays ) and Saturdays with the ocassional bring in/turn out and stable duties, but open to ideas and negotiation.

My husband is 6ft and rides her, doesn't look too big as she takes up the leg well

Potential to participate in local shows and fun rides if wanted.

Must have own public liability rider insurance

Share agreement will be in writing with a months trial

Based in Alton, Hampshire. To stay at current yard. 100 per month.
