No experience necessary, as all training will be given to gain the knowledge,

To start an apprenticeship.
All Instruction & training will be given on site.
There is a choice of diploma modules: ridden or non-ridden, grooming, handling, lunging, long reining, care of the competition horse, dressage, show jumping or eventing ,breeding and foaling ect.

This position is full time and does require weekends to be worked on a Rota basis.
This is very much a hands on position working in all weathers it is a manual job so will require some fitness to be able to muck out, poo pick, sweep yard and ride when needed ect

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn and gain valuable experience with in the trade. We are a friendly yard who encourage and give confidence , the more you put in to the position the more you will get out of it.

Looking for a local Weekend Groom to join our friendly family run Livery Yard based in Bursledon (Easy access Jct. 8 M27) Very close to Hedge End.
Approximate Hours (to be discussed) –

-SATURDAY & SUNDAY 7.30am start for approx 3 hours; Returning 4pm for approx 1 - 1.5hrs to bring in and finish off etc.

We are looking for a highly driven individual with a genuine interest and passion for supporting the growth and development of Horse Health Trade and the LeMieux brand to the UK and international markets.

This is an extremely busy, fast paced and varied role. We are looking for someone with a passion for equine products and the equestrian industry backed up by sound equine and business knowledge. You will have a proven ability to manage customers at all levels and be a real team player, capable of managing and supporting a small team and flexible enough to assist with the day to day trade sales administration.

Reporting directly to the Directors, this role will involve:

•Managing trade and distributor customer accounts with a genuine interest in supporting and developing their growth.
•Rapport building with existing and potential customers.
•Regular proactive communication and after sales service / follow ups – particularly international accounts.
•Identify opportunities for promotion and growth.
•Support and manage a small team admin staff and field sales representatives and agents in the UK and abroad.
•Ensure a constant and sufficient flow of orders to the packing team to ensure daily processing targets are met, liaising closely with the warehouse and stock production team.
•Assist with day to day trade administration – process orders, monitor and manage back orders and general enquiries from trade customers throughout the world by telephone and email.
•Maintain CRM / database of trade customers (UK & International).
•Process and approve or decline new trade account applications according to qualifying criteria.
•Monitor customer activity to ensure expected level of brand representation.
•Produce regular customer activity and performance reports for Directors and Sales Representatives.
•Oversee distribution of PR/Marketing materials / POS etc. to stockists. Liaison with in-house Designer as necessary.
•Oversee preparation for and attend trade exhibition events in the UK and Europe in particular – BETA and SPOGA.
•Opportunity to visit stockists and distributors abroad.


The successful candidate will:
•Be outgoing, proactive and self-sufficient – someone who will just get on with the job!
•Be flexible – happy to muck in with the general admin and order processing.
•Be numeracy and IT proficient as you will need to adapt to and utilise in-house CRM / Accounts systems (OGL-Profit Plus). You will be involved with client and agent reporting and development. Able to use Microsoft Office, particularly proficient in Excel / Word.
•Second Languages, of any proficiency, particularly French and German a considerable advantage.
•Face to face sales experience beneficial.
•Excellent communication skills at all levels.

We are looking for additional staff to look after the animals at Longdown Activity Farm; this will involve working weekends and school holidays as well as holiday relief during school term.

Job description:


This is a seasonal position to start immediately to last to the end of October 2019 – the position can include very long hours and these hours may vary according to need.



Duties Include:


Assisting our full-time stock people to look after a large range of farm animals and poultry – to assist with feeding, bedding and veterinary work

Helping with the daily activities with our visitors.

Some tractor driving involved as well as carrying passengers on a purpose-built trailer (training will be given)




This position will include helping to keep up the very high standard of stockmanship employed at Longdown, as well as keeping the farm and its grounds in a tidy condition.

Due to relocation I am looking for a very experienced LW dressage rider to bring on and compete dressage horses as well as assisting with me as a para rider. This position may suit a couple or 2 friends who would like to share the chores or a freelance groom/physio/instructor that needs a base or anyone that and would benefit from rent free accommodation.

Ideally you would have some experience of working on a professional yard but would also consider very experienced and confident applicants who have not necessarily been formerly employed in the horse industry. Must be capable, confident and calm dealing with large youngsters and fit competition horses. Mature, professional attitude, good punctuality and a genuine passion for horses with good attention to detail and high standards are absolutely essential. Must be clean, tidy and respectful of the accommodation and premises in general. Looking for someone that must have common sense and be self sufficient.
Professional but friendly, small yard with high quality dressage competition horses.

Further riding/training may be available for the right person/people on quality dressage horses.
