We are looking for a new member of staff to join our existing team. School Farm Equestrian is a busy livery yard offering Full and DIY livery to 43 horses. Ideally we would like someone with previous experience but would suit someone fit and willing to learn. The job is taking care of all the horses stabled at SF, its clients and general jobs that keep the yard and fields looking tidy and cared for. The day is 8 hours long (7.30-10.30, 11.00-1.00 and 2.00-5.00) and over 5 days each week including a weekend day. NMW. 28 days holiday. Own horse a possibility in the future. Description

We are looking for a flexible and reliable person to join our team on a weekend and part time basis.
The ideal candidate must be of a BHS stage 2 standard or equivalent and confident and competent in dealing with a wide range of horses - from quiet riding school horses up to competition horses. The ability to work well as part of a team is a must with the common sense to take on a leadership role if required to do so.

The main duties of the job will be escorting hacks out onto the New Forest - therefore any applicants MUST be competent hacking out on a variety of horses with the ability to teach other riders how to ride and take lead reins where necessary. As well as escorting hacks general yard duties must be carried out along with walkouts and some teaching (dependant on experience). There will be the opportunity to assist in schooling some of our horses with the chance to take part in clinics and competitions we hold on site (again dependant on experience).

We are a busy yard so applicants must be willing to work quickly and efficiently and not be afraid of hard work! We are currently in the process of expanding our Pony Club which we welcome those interested to help running it. We are a fun and friendly team and encourage all our employees to follow in our footsteps of being helpful, chatty and knowledgable towards all our clients and liveries.

Work available for both weekend days and week days during the school holidays. During term time flexible week days can be given
