Daniel is an award winning artist with his work having been presented at the Royal Mall Galleries for the Equestrian Society, the Royal Portrait exhibition, at the Royal Academy, with the Royal West of England, in the Holburne Museum, the Singer Friedlander Exhibition and with the Watercolour Society: to name but a few!

Living on the border of the New Forest National Park, Daniel’s works include equestrian works, of race horses, (for those of similar age, Red Rum is included in the portfolio), and much loved pets, not least horses, in both oil and watercolour. Yet, uniquely his artistic abilities extend further and more recent commissions have also included an equal attention given to including figures, portraits including owners and horses, and landscapes of the New Forest, Cranborne Chase and riders along the Jurassic Coast.

Whilst Daniel is a well-proven equestrian and portrait artist, his skills have also included illustrative work commissioned for greeting cards, (not least the late HRH Princess Diana), Waddingtons Games, in numerous books, (not least his own!), national newspapers, and has been consulted on creating illustrative maps, advertisements and for the compilation of government and academic documents.

Last but not least, Daniel has been commissioned for many, many years caricaturing both humans and animals at commissioned events: from local community festivals, through to corporate events both in the UK and overseas.

The aim is for the children to build their self confidence, gain new skills and to make lots of new friends whilst having fun in the outdoors. This is done primarily through Equine Assisted Therapy (contact with ponies), but also includes other Outdoor Therapies to suit the children and their needs.

We will also be offering our experience and facilities to children with long term illness (such as Cancer) and their families, so that they too may beenfit from contact with ponies.

I am experienced and friendly and provide a reliable, trustworthy and confidential service for you and your horse/s seven days a week if necessary at competitive rates.

attend for farrier or other appointments,

get any number of horses ready for your arrival,
travel with you to shows and extra appointments if need be,

Happy to include DOG WALKING and PET SITTING. I can care for dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, cows, pigs, goats, chickens, cats, fish, birds and small rodents. There are probably more but enquire just in case!

I am also happy to house sit, water plants and run small errands for whilst you are away.

Fully insured and qualified to B.H.S.Standard 2 / Diploma in Horse Care & Management from Sparsholt College/ Riding Road Safety.

I travel within the areas of Botley, Upham, Wickam, Eastleigh ,Twyford, Fair Oak, Southampton and Totton.

Pear Tree Livery is situated on a quiet lane in the heart of the New Forest; giving us access to unlimited riding!
We live onsite and are a privately owned, small and friendly livery yard. Our standard of care and attention to detail is exceptional. We cater for all types, and currently have a mix of competition horses and happy hackers.

We offer good sized stables with rubber matting and automatic drinkers, individual turnout, late night checks and haylage.

Using the latest equipment and techniques, I tailor my work to suit your horses requirements, as every horse is different with different needs. Advice for clients is given freely; working together we can build a program for your horse to maintain not just oral health, but the general health and wellbeing of your horse.

I believe most horses with a calm and patient approach will settle and allow routine dentistry. I prefer to work without sedation, though if required I can work with local practices so am able to arrange this.
It is well documented that a healthy set of teeth forms the basis of a healthy horse and that prevention (with regular appointments), is better than cure.

Below is a short video of routine equine dentistry demonstrating that with a calm approach and good working practices, routine check ups can be positive experiences for your horse.
I have worked with and around horses most of my life, working on private hunt yards exercising and having a background in farriery, obtaining the City and Guilds exam. Experience working with, and under horses during my time in apprenticeship, enables me to work with most horses unsedated. This is beneficial for the horse as you avoid possible complications from sedatives, and will help to build positive experiences of dental care for your horse.

Also an associate member of the BAEDT, I attend BAEDT courses/workshops while currently undergoing the membership exam, I abide by the associations performance guidelines, and working practices.

Jet Equine is a very quiet private yard with owners own show jumping on site and only space for 4 Liveries!!
The yard boast 3 indoor Loddon boxes, 4 outdoor loose boxes, an isolation box for any horse that comes down with any illness, 20x40 ménage with a brand new surface being put in for November, a full course of Show Jumps, a flat well maintained summer jumping paddock (not to be used in bad weather!), 8 acres of grazing, 180acres of land in total all privately owned with no public right of way that is used for hacking and for summer 2013 we will have a set of jump cross fences for full use of liveries around the land.
We have only 4 spaces for either, 5 day care, 7 day care, full ridden livery or breaking livery, we also have very limited spaces for working grass livery or retirement livery, there is tuition for riders and schooling available for horses on site at discounted rates for liveries.
