You may have heard that Facebook is now a popular place to sell stolen items due to the inability of the page organisers to identify sellers, whereas traditional selling sites have safeguards & record keeping systems in place to enable them to provide the seller’s details to the Police/Trading Standards if required.

Rest assured that all ads on the NFED Facebook page have been posted through our main site, so full contact details of the advertiser have been received. Records of all adverts are kept for up to 5 years, so that when there is a problem, copies of the ads or advertiser details can be passed on to the investigating authority.

If you have any complaints about advertisers not acting honestly or causing problems, please contact me & include the advert number.

To be honest, there’s not a lot that I can do to stop it, but I can block any further ads if people are genuinely causing problems.

See: I am not happy with an advert I've seen, what do I do? http://www.nfed.co.uk/faqs/12
