Well a great New Year surprise this morning, when one of our Horses had its rug stolen off of him over night  . I put it on him at about 4.30pm New years Eve, and this morning at 10.30am it was gone. Out of our 4 horses wearing rugs his was the only one stolen, probably cos it was the newest.

Details:

RED with BLUE binding COMBO Weatherbeeta heavy weight rug
5'6"
Has been worn for about 6 weeks, so is still fairly new looking.
The attachements to do up the rug at the neck are the velcro type with the flap that goes back down over the straps.

The person/people who stole this were not worried about horses or making noises, as with it being a new rug the velcro makes a hell of a noise undoing it. They would of held him still to of taken it off him...which is the more worrying part.
He was a bit traumatised and cold this morning (he is clipped) and he was dubious about approaching the gate, they obviously weren't bothered about going in our field despite it being set back from the road and the main gate way.

So please if anyone is offered this rug, please let me know.
The police have been informed.

Just to let you know, that another horse also tried to to have its rug removed from within our yard last night as well, but they failed to undo her leg straps, hopefully she gave them a good booting!
