Well done & a good idea for a post. Lets have some pics of horses bought or loaned through the NFED. If you need help posting photos, see instructions on the support forum.

Here's my two

This is Mitch. I had him for several years, but he has now gone out on loan & enjoying a quieter life in Devon

This is Star. Bought as a project as he didn't like dressage or living in & described as a hoody! He seems to be settling in at last. Still has his moments but is a lovely ride & enjoying the forest.

Well I bought the scruffy old grey reprobate 6 and a bit years ago now, and Lady (roan) the love of his life followed about 18 months later.

Then there was the Ideal WH saddle, plus all sorts of other bits and pieces, both buying and selling over the years. Plus a whole load of friends that have come about because of all of this.

Thanks Steve and Claire!

I bought my litle girl last September, after seeing her on NFED. I wasn't even looking to buy a pony :?
She just sort of appealed to me, very strange . . . . :luv:

Advertised a pony I bred who developed sweetitch at the age of 3yrs, :( unbroken but well handled, and hoping for the impossible :( , a long term loan home. Thanks to NFED :) he found a fantastic home where he is adored, has been broken and competes regularly in Dressage, SJ, and has hunted regularly. His new mum now owns him, as after 2yrs I was persuaded to let them buy him. His sweetitch is kept under control due to their vigilance. All in all, he is one very lucky pony, thanks to NFED :the_wave:

My big lad came via NFED and my yearling from his old owner, so if it wasn't for NFED I wouldn't have either of them! ;)

I bought my fantastic coloured cob from NFED four years ago now, he was 5 years old. I thought he was expensive at the time and young, but I saw him on NFED the Friday evening the ad went on and went to see him on the Saturday morning, first person to see him. I knew if I didnt pay the money somebody soon would so tried him and bought him then and there no messing.

Best decision I ever made.

Thanks NFED (also sold a horse through NFED in the past to a terrific home).

I bought a little scruffy yearling filly from a Wanted ad I placed on NFED 5 years ago:

She's now grown into a rather lovely mare, and yes, she did grow into that head!!:

As somebody else mentioned, I've also made lots of friends through the NFED forums - people I would otherwise never have known - and I can't thank Steve enough for that :)

Iv bought 3..... The first one- complete angel, for the first month, then he decided if he didn't want to do something he would rear, the rears got bigger... He then started to kick and aim for me when I was in the field or long reining or lunging him, the last time I rode him he went up so high I thought he was going over... Had back and teeth checked, all ok, but he killed my confidence so he had to go.. :'( currently loving life with his new owner, hasn't put a hoof wrong and certainly kept his front legs on the ground... I guess we were incompatible :( reall annoyance is I knew he had potential to go far in the ring and is now county level showing grrrr
Number two...
16.1 irish sport horse, complete angel too, tried him out for two weeks, fell in love and had to bring him home.
6 days later said horse wrapped his leg up in barbed wire and was clLose to getting pts... If his tendon was infected then it was lights out and I cut my losses ... Lucky for him it was clear, unlucky for my bank balance... 3k of vets bills later and he develops a rather unhealthy attachment. To my old mare, he then became unsafe to ride on his own because all he would do is shake, scream, cr@p himself and bolt for home just to get back to her, take him out with her? If she was infront he'd bolt after her, if she was behind he'd sPin and wait fOr her. Take him out in company and with her, any horse that came within 10ft he wod go for. So moved him on...
Roll out horse number 3...
Perfect in every way for what I want... This horse is gonna break my heart... I so wanted this to be third time lucky... She is everything I want and more...
But there is one small problem... See my other post.. CRAB Flies.....
