If it was a metal gate they were probably trying to pinch it and got disturbed. A five bar metal gate was stolen from a field off the Firgrove Road, Eversley last weekend and vehicles driven across the hayfield towards the neighbouring field of cattle. Not sure if they were poachers or wanna-be rustlers but either way they took the gate with them when they left!!

Field gate was lifted of its hinges last night & 4 horses let loose during the night onto the road.
Obviously done deliberately to let horses loose.
