Bridle with flash noseband and 3 ring Dutch gag.
Bridle made of fine leather, rolled noseband, loose-jointed snaffle, anti slip reins.
Bridle old style with raised stitched flash noseband and leather martingale stops on the reins. Value in the region of £450.

Micheldever, Winchester (1/2 October)

Between Wednesday 1 October and Thursday 2 October s stable block in the village of Micheldever near Winchester was broken into.
Items taken:
Saddle and girth (Saddle stubben Lancelot 17” brown buffalo hide, front knee pads cut off – stirrups are reinforced plastic.
New black leather girth.
Black leather dressage saddle made by Shifnall of Shropshire – zigzag repair on black knee roll
Keiffer bridle with a snaffle bit
Brown bridle with kimblewick bit
Green plastic box contain approximately 20 bits.

Items valued in the region of £2000.

Burglary to tack room overnight at Agars Lane, Sway 29th/30th May 2003,

Property stolen;-
1. Maxam synthetic cob wide fit saddle, black 4 girth pulls each side, synthetic leathers and stainless steel stirrups with worn white treads
2. medium fit Maxam black saddle, synthetic leathers and black metal stirrups with black treads
3. full size plain black bridle and reins with continental stainless steel jointed) clip attachments on reins
4. Cob sized black and green edged bridle with newer full sized flash noseband and continental gag also rubber covered leather black reins and black/green edged running martingale.
Original black and green cob sized plain caverson, noseband from previous bridle.
Also some craft numnahs and girths of varying shades of white and grey, and two girths, one black and one white.

THEFT OF TACK/TRAILER
28-29/4/03 - Stables, Main Rd, West Handley. Theft of carriage craft two wheeled exercise carriage, black metal paintwork, varnished wood, the seats are black leather under brown corduroy cushions held together with a strap around the middle. Black insulating tape covers the wing tree, on the rear of the carriage is a plaque that says "made by carriage craft" and 2 reflectors. Also stolen was an Ideal leather bridle with double bit attached, 3 headcollars and 5 riding hats total value stolen £755. CR/33857-03.

This information has been received from South Yorkshire Police.. In this day and age stolen goods can travel great distances!!!! So don't disregard the information just because the details are from Yorkshire. As an example - PC Tony Bass from Whitehill Police Station is dealing with a seizure of 600s addles. He has identified several already as being stolen due to the fact they were postcoded or had some other identifying mark on them. Plus some of the saddles were stolen from outside our area. The earliest identified theft was 5 years ago!

Stolen 24/25th October 2002 from Silkstone Common: -

Ifor Williams green trailer, ser SB190899080498 with 11496 painted in 1" numbers in red on the inside of rear doors, above the jockey door and on the 'A' frame. Trailer is weathered and the green colour fading. Jockey wheel is new, silver in colour with a red knob. Electric plug socket is new and metal. Front/rear load. Charcoal grey inside, rubber matting. Only 3 breast bars. Mudguards cracked and repaired with zip ties.

Stolen from Long Sutton between 07.07.02 - 16.7.02

Stolen saddle from Manor Farm, Long Sutton nr Hook. Theft occurred as a result of a tack room burglary.
Stubben 17" "Siegfried" narrow fit saddle, brown in colour with stirrups, buffalo hide leathers & cottage craft girth. A white saddle cloth was also stolen.

Serial number 1936328 under the first saddle flap. (not known which side)
The crime reference number is AL/7407/02 OIC. PC Batton at Crondall
