Meet Oscar.

Oscar joined the Hampshire Constabulary in December 2003 on a short term contract! He was handed over to the police by Aldershot Magistrates as a result of a court case where his owner was convicted of a cruelty offence.

Oscar spent several months in protective custody whilst receiving veterinary care for an injury to a leg which was part of the cruelty allegation. Oscar has since left the police service on a medical pension and is now enjoying premature retirement with new owners.

Boston USA

The furthest Hampshire Horsewatch got last year was Boston in USA!! DI David Collings visited the city and whilst he was there took time out to call on Boston Police Mounted Unit. David's cousin lives in Boston and her car is now sporting a Hampshire Horsewatch spare wheelcover. Pictured with David is Hugh Solari one of the police officers attached to the Unit.

Some of the other photos are of police horses, Mounted Unit vehicles alongside Hampshire Horsewatch 4x4 wheel cover . The Unit's Stable block

Blenheim Horse Trials

In September David and his colleague Sarah Cashman took the sponsored Rav4 supplied by Marshall Rolfe [Toyota] now part of the Kings Group in Southampton to the Horse Trials at Blenheim. They teamed up with Thames Valley Horsewatch and Thames Valley Mounted Branch and met many people who came up to see them to discuss Horsewatch.
