If you post a photo,
please comply to UK copyright laws & ensure that you have the photographers
permission to use the photo. Any copyright disputes are between the
copyright owner & the poster. On the Tracing Horses forum, we do
have an obligation to remove any posts if requested to by the present
owner. Please ensure the photo is less than 650
pixels wide, posting larger photos will stretch the post & cause
scrolling.

STRICTLY NO ADVERTS

we have a dedicated classified section for this purpose with built in
safeguards for your protection & to promote commoning, a free advertising
section for Registered Forest Bred ponies. Any adverts or posts that
mention items or animals for sale/possible sale or wanted will be removed
without notice.
To protect the interests
of NFED Sponsors who pay to provide this service, business announcements
are only permitted by those that have paid to advertise in the NFED
Business Directory, have banner adverts or are NFED Affiliates. Posts
not complying will be removed without notice.
Signatures
You are welcome
to add signatures to your posts, but please ensure they are less than
650 pixels wide & don't include sound in any videos used. Advertising
any kind of commercial service or linking to a website is not allowed
unless you are a current advertiser in the NFED Business Directory,
have a banner advert or are an NFED Affiliate. Posts not complying will
be removed without notice, repeat offenders will be removed from the
members list.
Website Links
We want to offer
a comprehensive & unbiased service which does allow links to other
websites of interest, but any links posted to websites of an unsuitable
nature, sites with the intention of poaching NFED users/members or creating
a conflict of interest with either the NFED or its sponsors will be
removed.
Crime Information.
If you are posting
crime information on the Horsewatch message boards,
please give as much detail as possible, including: your name, descriptions,
dates, times, crime numbers & officers attending. Photos can be
added in the normal way, see Photos
& Links. Please remember to post follow ups if/when there is
any news.
Personal Information
As with all internet
sites, please be careful & do not give out personal information.
For safety's sake, keep
your full name, address & telephone number secret. We have no way
of knowing who people are on the forum or if they are who they say they
are. This is especially important for our younger members, do not tell
anyone your age, sex, address, phone number or post any other personal
information. Any posts fishing for personal information will be removed.
For the same reason,
please do not give out other people's information. If you cross-post
something, take out all personal information such as the person's last
name, address (snail or email) & phone number. If you do post such
information, the post will be removed. If you have some important information
ask others to email you for it & give it to them that way. Remember
that you are responsible for your posts.
Safety Issues
Please remember
that these message boards
are read by riders of all ages & capabilities. Careless talk or
bragging about ignoring safety issues or encouraging dangerous actions
that could possibly influence younger riders will not be tolerated.
Bad Language
Watch your language.
This site is open to people of all ages to learn & discuss equestrian
subjects, so please keep it clean. Harassing, offensive, vulgar, abusive,
hateful or bashing communications - including those aimed at sexual
orientation, gender, race, religion, national origin, or disability
will absolutely not be tolerated.
Please do not type
in upper case (Capitals) which is considered shouting. Please also avoid
using txt type. Unlike SMS, there is no limit to the number of characters
that can be used, so text type is not needed & can be difficult
for some users to read.
Good Manners
If you ask a question
& somebody takes the time to post a reply, please have the common
decency to acknowledge the effort that they have made on your behalf.
Please be kind &
respectful to other forum users. Read your own posts or replies to ensure
they cannot be taken the wrong way. Many arguments are caused by simply
misreading a post.
Post Topics
Please keep posts
on topic for the message board in
use. This is an equestrian site & visitors obviously expect to see
conversations of an equestrian nature, we reserve the right to remove
off topic posts without notice.
New Members
Make new posters
feel welcome. Remember that new users may be shy or nervous, & that
they can greatly benefit from the old timers on the boards. If you've
been around for a while, be sure to introduce yourself to the newbies
& help show them the ropes.
Do not be afraid
to post or to sound dumb, this site is here for you to learn from others,
but feel free to lurk if you wish. You do not have to post messages
to learn from the message boards.
Many people enjoy reading the posts without posting anything themselves.
Disagreements
Keep disagreements
civil. You certainly do not have to agree with everyone on the message
boards, but
please keep your disagreements on topic. You can argue a point without
being nasty or simply ignore it. Be prepared to listen to other points
of view without becoming abusive or upset.
Our members are
very passionate about their horses & other equines, particularly
where welfare issues are concerned. If your posts are controversial
please don't expect everyone to agree & discussions may become heated.
Just remember that not everything belongs on a popular public message
board &
that somethings are best left unsaid.
In the horse world
there is usually more than one correct way to tackle a problem. Remember
that each new reply will take a post back to the top giving it further
attention, so if you do not like a post or poster, it is better to ignore
it. Unhelpful sarcastic replies do not help anybody & will not be
tolerated!
Personal Disagreements
Keep personal disagreements
personal. If you disagree or dislike one person in particular, please
take your comments to e-mail, where they belong. Please do not bring
your arguments or disagreements from outside onto the forum.
NO PERSONAL ATTACKS.
There is no reason whatsoever for name calling & rudeness. You can
argue & disagree while still being respectful of others.
Any posts meant
to bait others into a personal disagreement unrelated to the board topic
will be removed. Any arguments of a personal nature will also be removed.
Please, whenever possible, help steer others away from personal arguments!
Disputes
In the event of
a dispute, the administrator will not take sides or act as referee,
so please do not ask. Our only concern is to provide a good service
to our users whilst protecting the good name of the NFED.
If a number
of complaints are received against any member person, membership will
be cancelled at the discretion of the administrator. If false accusations
are made, the accuser/s will be removed. The administrator has the final
word.

Your details will be kept confidential.
If a person is removed from the membership group, we
are not making judgement on any personal arguments or disagreements.
Our only concern is the NFED & the overall affect the member has
on the forums as a whole or the reputation of the NFED. No reasons or
explanations have to be given & we reserve the right to remove any
member at any time without prior notice, warning or explanation.

Responsibilities
Please remember
that we run these message boards free of charge
& in good faith for the benefit of the equestrian community. Being
a member is a trusted & privileged position allowing you to post
on any of the forums without moderation. Any member breaking rules,
causing problems, abusing their position or bringing the site into disrepute
will have their membership revoked without notice. The administrator’s
decision is final & no reasons have to be given.
